Works on the Vitamix 32oz container!
Worked great on my Vitamix 32-Ounce Container to remove the retaining nut to clean any otherwise unreachable gunk that builds up between the nut and container.

Right Tool For The Right Job
I bought a used 5000 recently. It works great but the blades were dull. I needed to remove the blades to sharpen them. I've heard you can use a screwdriver or a pipewrench, but I like having the proper tool for a job. Removing my blade assembly was so easy with this tool, and reassembly was just as easy. If you plan on maintaining your own equipment, and use one or multiple vitamixes daily, I highly recommend adding this tool to your kitchen.

Quick and Easy and Safe
This Vita-Mix wrench worked really well. Initially I tried using a large screwdriver. That idea proved to be extremely unsafe. I gave up quickly and just ordered the Vita-Mix wrench.

Perfect tool for Vitamix
I have been looking for the tool to unscrew the blender container blade. The Indian blender I have comes with tools to disassemble the blade so that you can clean the container thoroughly, but Vitamix doesn't come with it. When I finally found this tool, I was excited. It's plastic but very sturdy. Perfect fit for the container. Now I can finally unscrew the blade and really clean the container. The whole thing is strong plastic, almost indestructible. In fact the container is also indestructible. I tried to bang it with a rubber hammer (really hard), won't even make a dent. Vitamix is really top quality product.

GOTTA have this wrench to change your blade! It's obnoxiously large but does the job.
Ok so, there's a lot I want to say about how you have to buy a separate tool just to change your vitamix blade. Why doesn't it come with the blade? Or better yet, why isn't it a tool that people might actually have in their tool box or could be something that might be useful for other applications besides just a one time removal of a blender blade assembly? Lame. BUT, this is a review for the tool itself, not all of my complaints about other things "vitamix". For the record, I love love love my vitamix. It is a work horse that has served our family well for over 5 years now making multiple smoothies every day. Finally, the blade started to rust and needed changing, so in addition to buying a new blade assembly, I had to buy this tool to remove the existing blade. Let me repeat that: If you are buying a new blade for your vitamix, YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS WRENCH AS WELL! As for the wrench itself, it definitely does its job (which is a simple job) of taking off the original blade and tightening the new one into place. Pretty easy and straight forward. If you're going to take your assembly off (which the instructions say to not do unless ABSOLUTELY necessary) I highly recommend cleaning it oiling it with some vegetable oil while you're at it before putting the new blade in. Using this tool, my new blade went in without a hitch. The problems came with replacing the drive socket. Now THAT I recommend you not mess with!! It totally messed up our blender, but again, that's a review for another item... In terms of this wrench, it does its job. My only complaint (other than having to buy it separately in the first place) is that it's so huge!! It's really obnoxious to have to store a tool of this size somewhere in my house that only has one function and will probably only be used once or twice EVER. Could you really not have designed a smaller wrench, vitamix people? Oh, also, if it helps, we have a vitamix 5200 series machine. I've included pictures of the unit as well. Hopefully this has been helpful to another Vitamix owner! I did NOT receive this item free or at a discount.

A must have tool if you have a Vitamix Blender
My Vitamix blender container was making a lot of noise when I used it. I looked at the container to see what the issue was but never could figure it out. I went online to look at replacement parts and warranty information and came across this wrench and saw how easy it is to use to either replace your worn out blades or tighten up your loose blades. I ordered it on prime and it arrived very quickly. As soon as I used it to tighten up my blender the noise went away and it worked a lot smoother. I highly suggest getting this tool for your vitamix so you can to regular maintenance on it. You can also take the blade assembly out if you want to clean out the container a little easier. I don't suggest taking it out all the time as it does take some work to pop the blade in and out and you have to line it up right or it won't go in properly.

I needed this Vitamix wrench to re-seat the blade assembly in my new 32 ounce wet container I got from Amazon Warehouse Deals
I needed to order this Vitamix wrench to re-seat the blade assembly in the 32 ounce wet container I literally just bought through Amazon Warehouse Deals. The container was new but as soon as I washed it, the water all ran out the bottom. I could tell the blade wasn't seated correctly (could be why it was cheaper via AWD). I saved a lot of money buying the container via AWD, and at first glance the container looked absolutely new & fine, however, when I added water, it all came gushing out the bottom (in the sink, of course! LOL). I took a close look at the container bottom and noticed that the blade assembly was not properly seated into the bottom, creating gaps in the bottom. In order to correct this situation properly, this Vitamix wrench is a must-have (and inexpensive to boot!) So, since I was already planning to order the wrench at some point, to go with the Vitamix 7500 I just bought for us for Christmas, I went ahead and ordered it now. As soon as it arrived, I very easily removed the bottom of the container, removed the blade assembly, examined both to make sure there was no damage from when it was installed incorrectly, and put it all back together...BAM! I now have a brand new 32 ounce wet container for an Amazon Warehouse Deals price!

Must have tool for Vitamix fixes.
This tool is great for your Vitamix blender. I didn’t realize there was such a thing. This allows you to remove the base to replace your container or clean the blade thoroughly. My container cracked and I was able to only buy container since my blade was still great and it saved me about $40. If you need to disassemble your vitamin container for what ever reason this is a must have. Of course always refer to your Vitamix manual before trying to fix anything on it.
