3M Buff Pad Adaptors, 05710, 5/8 in, White

I purchased a makita variable speed buffer with standard 5/8 thread and this extension is needed to use double side buffing pads. Excellent quality. No issues so far and completed 4 boats so far.

I ordered this, a gallon of 3m super rubbing compound, a buff pad, and a dewalt variable speed polisher to buff the hull of my 31' tiara charter boat. I am sure you could bring a high shine to a turd with this combo.

Fits perfectly on the DeWalt 9 inch orbital waxer. Allows the use of double sided wool polishing products. A bit pricey for what it is, but big box department stores don't seem to offer it

It works for attaching the back plate to the orbital. But this should come with the backplate, not be a separate purchase.

It needs to be threaded better but for the price it still works ok

Big problem with this 3M Adapter Shaft in that it had some type of GLUE in one of the ends of the internal thread of the adapter, and the (black) insert screw in plug would not secure. Had to use a TORCH to bake the glue to enable removal. After much attention, it appears to be workable. Poor Product QC!!!
