Leadership: Theory, Application, & Skill Development

Had to order this for a leadership class for my Master's program. I found it very useful, concise, and laid out in an easy format. It's a textbook for sure, but really simple to digest.

Good book. The design and presentation made it fun and very easy to read. The price is too high. There were references to theories which you will have to do your own research in other books to complement what was presented. At that price all information should be there.

Great read! The information on leadership is beyond my expectation. The author was clear, concise, and thorough in development the arguments for good leader, while expressing the ways that bad leadership can be a hindrance.

The above text is used in my Doctoral Course in Leadership Theory. I am in Chapter 4 of the book, but what I like most are the different case studies, and examples of leaderships in companies we are all familiar with, such as Trader Joe's Executive, Facebook's Executive etc. Each chapter also has a summary along with exercises to work on in what we hope is, sparetime.

Renting this saved me a lot of money. There is some writing in the book and some of the self-assessments are already filled out but that is okay considering I would have paid $200 more to purchase from the school.

This is has been very helpful for my class discussions, quizzes, and tests. easy to handle and does the job.

the chapters feel easier to read because the text is often broken up with extra boxes, diagrams, etc. BUT: yes, as someone else mentioned, there are many grammar errors and the language is often unnecessarily obtuse and confusing. This book was made first with the author's ego in mind, second for the student to learn. Stupid sentence structure and phrasing. 7/10 because while there are many grammar errors, most of them are easy to figure out, and there are many books much more obtuse than this one. I rented this for a class. Otherwise I would not read.

This book is great. It touches the point of self awareness and social awareness behaviors. It also gives practical example that are make it understand. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Book arrived in a timely fashion. Would have been 5 starts, however; the cover was bent upon arrival.

Purchased this book for uni, it was 80percent cheaper on Amazon than anywhere else. Arrived in great condition condition.
