Pulltap's is the basic standard for those of us that open wine as an everyday part of our job. They have the stripdown simple double hinge that's nice enough to take to work everyday and use. Eventually, the hinge either comes too loose/tight or the pins in it fall out and render your wine key useless. Coutale Sommelier brings wine keys a step up in both looks and tech. The Prestige weighs about double that of the Pulltap's wine key which is still quite light (roll or nickles vs quarters). The blade for removing the foil is curved to better cut around a bottle. The double hinge has a whole new concept and with a try or two is smoother than it's competitor. I have been looking for a double hinge wine key with wooden detail and couldn't be happier with my purchase! I open a lot of wine for a living and the sping loaded hinge makes opening each bottle a breeze, even the 20 year old bottles that can be a little stressfull to touch with a new key but I didn't hesitate. I'm afraid that I may have become spoiled and need to buy a few for back up incase something happens to the one I already have!

Having owned and broken several cheap corkscrews, I decided to splurge and get something more substantial. I read a lot of reviews and chose the Coutale. What a world of difference! The screw itself glides into the cork very smoothly and the two-stage pull is brilliant. It's a substantial tool, fits the hand well and has a great look. I don't think I'll need to buy another corkscrew ever!

This corkscrew is offered at a reasonable price and works as intended. It feels extremely sturdy and it's quite easy to use. There is less pressure that you need to exert due to the design of this corkscrew. I would definitely recommend for any wine enthusiast. It's one of the easiest corkscrews I ever used.

I first purchased this wine opener when in France. I brought several home as soveniers because the quality was so nice. I have tried many varieties of openers over the years but this is hands down the best ever!! The price can't be beat for the quality and looks.
