Extended the life of my desk
I had a large and good quality hardwood executive desk that nicely fit into a corner and around half of the wall on each side. After 25+ years the draws were not closing because the leg/supports began collapsing from the weight of the drawers/contents. I found that I could remove the drawers on one side and insert this cart into the space. It fit perfectly. So far I have expanded the life of the desk by several years. The drawers pull out reasonably well. this item performs as well as I could have hoped.

Looks great, works great!
Safeco black mesh cart w/1-file drawer and 2 smaller drawers: I read many reviews for this and similar products before buying. Easy to assemble even for 73-year-old me. It's even better than I expected, nice smooth mesh, easy slide drawers. I took advice from another reviewer and used 3 small bungee cords to prevent drawers sliding out the back, perfect solution! Was worried about the file drawer not properly holding hanging file folders because of some other reviews but although I can see what they mean, mine works fine for me (letter-size hanging files). I actually like that the files don't slip and slide too easily. Some people had asked if drawers can change position and YES, file drawer can be at bottom (my preferred position because of the weight of the files), in the middle, or on top.I had to call to ask one question: they don't tell you in the instructions that you need a rubber hammer (or something similar) to force the casters all the way down into the holes (2 locking casters go on front legs, regular casters on back legs). Unless you pound them down flush, the casters will be useless.Would definitely buy again. I'm very happy with my purchase. Thank you Safeco and Amazon!

Seems small but holds a lot!
My job requires a lot of filing. I needed a small file storage for some files that I keep handy near my desk. I didn't need another bulky filing drawer, so this was perfect. The 2 drawers for supplies was a nice bonus too. It is not what I would call solid, but surprisingly holds a lot of stuff. I just filled it up today with a good amount of files and it held everything with no problem... no bending or bowing, it held up nicely. My only real complaint is there are no stoppers to keep the drawers from shooting through one end and out the other. I have it up against a wall, so I don't think it will cause a problem unless I'm not careful when sliding the drawers or file drawer back in and it scratches or dents the wall. It is the same on either side, so no distinguishable front or back. It's on wheels, but the wheels lock so that keeps it right where I put it. It is a good product for the price.

EXCELLENT Design - Exactly what I was looking for
This cart is a near perfect design. I am retired and limited by health reasons and I have a bad habit of piling mail and important papers on my bar & counter. I was looking for a way to clean up this mess and organize my medical papers and stuff. This cart works perfectly. I put file folders in the bottom and now can set on my sofa and file everything as it comes in. Plus I have two drawers to store envelopes, booklets and supplies in. It's literally like having a mini office I can drag around with me. I now have a lot more counter space which is nice too.The construction is adequately good. It helps to wipe the round bars that the drawers slide on with thin coat of grease. The wheels could be a size larger but I only have to pull it about 6 ft. I would ignore the dumb negative comments by some. Especially the one complaining about pushing the drawer through out the other side. If the drawers only came out on one side he would be complaining that there was no 'front' sign when he couldn't figure it out. Any negative reviews are obviously from those who just like to bitch about the rain or snow. A little pricey, but convenient good designs can ask a little more. It is definitely a good purchase if you need a convenient item like this.

Holds quite a bit
I bought this product for two reasons: it has wheels, and it got mesh drawers. Both of those features meet most of my needs mostly perfectly. The wheels annoyingly lock on their own pretty much every time I move the cart. The mesh drawers do exactly what I need, but make sure to set the drawers on a flat surface if you remove them. The bottoms don't really lock into place, so they're only held by gravity and weight of anything in them. Like SO many people have mentioned, there are no stops on the drawer slides. This makes removing the drawer from either side completely viable, but I've found it's better to put zip ties on the slides as quasi-stops. Many others did that same thing. Works great. The top of the cart is the most useless and frustrating part for me. It's not a good place to store anything small, because small things will slide right off under the bars, as there are no sides. The price for this unit was quite steep in my opinion, especially given how flimsy the thing is. That being said, nothing has broken yet, and we've had it for a while, full of stuff!Edit (August 9th, 2025): This has held up for years. I broke off the tabs and drilled small screws in next to the wheel locks. This prevents the wheels from locking, and that's important to me. It's also a lot cheaper and easier than finding non-locking casters to replace those with. I'm still giving this 3 stars due to the price and frustrations previously encountered.

Solid, reliable, has lasted 7 years now
Great purchase. The "flimsy" comments in some reviews are baffling. My HP LaserJet 1020 printer sits comfortably atop it. No shaking, nothing loose. Drawers work fine. Yes, backstops would help, as the drawers move smoothly, so be careful how hard you push them! (Minus 1/2 star.) Also, the large hanging file drawer at the bottom is a bit headroom-shy. Hasn't been a problem for me, but might bother some. (Minus another 1/2 star.) Small quibbles with an otherwise excellent and durable product. Would buy again.
