InnoGear VS. Other Brand | The Primary Difference What is the spotlight? As the name suggests, the solar spotlight is there to "spot" or illuminate a particular area or material. If you want to highlight a flagpole or plant in your backyard, you wouldn't want to try other brand's so-called 'spotlight' with SMD chips, which is more like a floodlight that cannot cast a concentrated beam of light, the emphasis on your flagpole or beautiful plant will be lackluster. InnoGear upgraded spotlight should be your preference. Adopts powerful LED bulbs and concentrate design, it will cast a bright and focus beam of light to highlight any specific objects, and everyone is bound to pay attention. It is also the perfect choice for illuminating your driveway because precise visibility can help you drive comfortably. Excellent Quality and Durability Its all-around good performance combined with outstanding reliability. It is fully resistant to particles entering it and is resistant to jets of water. The stakes are particularly durable and will keep the lights in place over a long time. Working Modes & Working Time InnoGear spotlight has two working modes, high mode lasts 6 hours, low mode lasts up to 12 hours, you can choose the mode that gets you the most run time versus brightness. Specification Solar panel: 5.5V 1.5W Battery: 18650 lithium battery 3.7V 2200mAh LED: 10mm 0.5W Charging time: 8 hours Package Includes 2x spotlight 6x Screws 6x Pillar hinge Note 1. To prolong the working time, please install light under direct sunshine for recharging. It is normal that the charging efficiency can be affected in cloudy/ rainy days. 2. Light is triggered by the surrounding light condition and only turns on in the dark. Review: Funcionan e iluminan de maravilla. Review: I purchased these for landscape accent lighting over a month ago. I have several palm/oak tress that I wanted to light up at night along with my house number and flag. When they work, they're great. I say this because of the 8 I ordered, 3 were defective, but desertcart and InnoGear worked with me to make it right (hence 4 stars). Issues: - One filled up with water - Battery only lasted an hour on another unit, even though solar panel is facing south and would get plenty of sun - Switch went bad on another unit. Light would just randomly turn on/off and if you played with the switch, you could reproduce the issue. I email the InnGear to provide feedback and after a few weeks they responded. They wanted to make sure I took the film off of the solar panel, which was one of the first things I did when I assembled them. I assuming they run into that issue a lot because it's on their website and other reviews I've read. They then offered to replace the units and a few days later they were at my door. As I said, when they work, they're great and bright. Just beware that you may run into quality control issues. If you do, allow desertcart/InnoGear to work them out with you. Another thing to keep in mind, the solar panel is fixed to the back of the unit. Make sure you plan your layout because you may run into a challenge of light placement that doesn't work for solar placement. If that's the case, there are several lighting options out there that separate the panels from the lights.

I bought nektek initially but last purchase they were out and to replace them I bought these which are not good after 3 years. Nekteks are still working after 8 years

As long as they work, but any problems; forget any product support.

I have had these out now for almost 6 months with no problems. Unlike the ones I had purchased at Lowes, which leaked and died out after only a few months, these are well sealed and do *not* leak. We get a lot of rain here in FL (and/or the irrigation system sprays water on them), so it is imperative they are sealed well. I have them shining on two Crape Myrtle trees in front of house. Put out a good amount of light at max setting. They are not as bright as wired lights, but sufficient for accenting trees, etc., in the landscape. They do the job! Work even on partly cloudy days. I am definitely ordering more! Update: I have found some of my lights, though water resistant, have screws that are not. They need to be taken out to change the battery. The screw threads are fine...but the heads have corroded so badly on two of my lights, I cannot get them undone (screw heads easily become stripped, even with the most careful attempt, because they have deteriorated so badly). I would suggest these screws be coated with something to prevent corrosion before you put them out. A third, after about two years, no longer shines as bright as it once did, even with a new battery installed. So they don’t have a long life span in this environment. Another update. Over the last three years I have purchased several of these. I loved them the first year or two. BUT...when the battery starts going, you’re in for a real challenge. First, it’s difficult to find just the right battery. I had to order online from somewhere other than here (and the local Batteries Plus charges $20/battery!). I don’t know if it’s the quality of batteries, or the unit itself. But I not been able to obtain the same, high quality light I did when I first had them. I have tried several different ones. Very disappointed. Maybe this is common in these solar floodlights. I have switched to a similar light from Home Depot. It’s cheaper, gives off a softer light. And when I replace the batteries....it works just as it did when it was new. 😕
