Olde Midway Bar Style Popcorn Machine Maker Popper with 6-Ounce Kettle - Black

There is nothing like the smell and taste of fresh popcorn! I consider myself a popcorn connoisseur and the first and most important part of the process is large fresh popped kernels. Believe me, I have been testing machines and tasting the popped product for over 50 years! The Olde Midway popcorn Machine has lived up to its hype. The 6 ounce kettle is the perfect size for one to 4 portions and the warmer does keep the food at a low warm temperature. It heated up and popped quickly and left very little unpopped kernels. Steamy and fresh. The overall size is just right for a small table or counter. It was quick to assemble and although I have not had this particular model long enough to test the ease of cleaning, it has quick release parts that are dishwasher safe. Has a solid and weighty build quality with metal and glass. Not a cheap model.

Nice machine. A little hard to pour the butter and popcorn into the kettle. Not a lot of room. Works well and is cool to use at parties.

It’s a nice machine and easy to assemble. But-the kettle doesn’t have a flip up lid to fill and it doesn’t rotate dump. You have to UNHOOK it to fill and release it from the hook to empty. The lid is separate from the kettle so you have to take the whole thing off to clean it. Also the metal tilt-out drawer doesn’t sit right so it’s too tight and keeps popping out of the slats. But this machine came with a bunch of popcorn bags I wasn’t expecting so that’s a plus. It’s glass-so it looks nicer. I’m amazed it shipped cross-country without breaking. I’m not happy about the misrepresentation of the kettle but I’m not taking it apart, boxing it all back up and shipping it back to California…

This is a great popcorn maker! We have used it several times. It is easy to set up and clean! It fits nicely on the counter and makes a good amount of popcorn for a group!

This popcorn maker is worth the hype! Looks really cool and makes great popcorn! Yes, it is a small area to prepare in, but nothing crazy hard to do. All the accessories are high quality. Comes with a lot of big bags for popcorn! I prefer mine in cones (ordered separately), but nice to have! My kids and the neighborhood kids love the popcorn! I would recommend turning off the heating light after you are sure nobody else wants any, because the bottom and inside stay VERY HOT and the leftover popcorn gets tough.

I get it. I also love theater popcorn and thought this would make a great addition to my home movie theater. Sadly, I found this machine to be frustrating, hazardous, and a hassle I don't need in my life. On different levels, this popcorn machine didn't work for me. It wasted a lot of unpopped kernels and made more of a mess than enjoyment. There's many sharp pieces inside the machine. I cut my hand several times while wiping down the inside. Loading the kettle was problematic, unless you disassembled it to add the ingredients. Forget about popping additional amounts. The kettle is way too hot to handle and add ingredients. Poor engineering and design, and there's no convenient way to remove/load the kettle without getting burned, making a mess, or dropping tiny parts. Cannot use this.
