Excellent product
I bought 2 of these in Twin size and 1 in queen size for the beds in my newly redecorated guest rooms. I didn't have access to the beds before I ordered because we were painting, etc. When I set the beds up and measured from the top of the boxsprings to the carpet and then saw that the length of these is 14", I started to process a return thinking they'd be too short. After looking on Amazon and elsewhere for longer bed skirts and finding nothing as nice or as inexpensive, I thankfully decided to take these out of the package and put them on the beds to see just "how bad" they looked. They don't go all the way to the carpet, but they're long enough that they look fine! I helped that the part that sits on top of the boxspring is a about 1/2" bigger on each side, giving an additional 1/2" to the length of the skirt. I ran them through a cold water rinse and dry on low and they came out almost completely wrinkle free -- enough that if I wasn't being so picky I could have put them on the beds "as is". Seeking perfection I gave them a quick ironing on low heat and sharpened the creases on the pleats. They ironed up perfectly! I couldn't have asked for anything more. The fabric is substantial (unlike the microfiber fabric on so many other bed skirts an overall these look WAY more expensive than they were! Would definitely recommend them and will buy these again if I need bed skirts in the future!

NIce Bedskirt, good for the price. washed well.
I purchased this bed skirt to use in my Guest bed room. I just bought a new bedset and completely forgot to pick up the bedskirt so I figured i would just order it online because i didnt have time to go to the store and really wanted to get the new bedset put on.. This one wroked great. it washed really well and though it was really hard to get it on all by myself, once it was on there, it was nice. the fit was good, it took a bit of tweaking to get it on right ( again because i was putting it on by myself) i like the ones like this that have the skirt connected to a flat "sheet" that holds it all in place. the color was right on. I ordered a navey blie and it worked out with the bedset that i already had in the room. i would purchase from this seller again if i needed another bed skirt.

Drop material is good, sewing mediocre, platform material is trash
What I love: I love the material. The poly cotton blend looks very nice and Stiff. Once it is washed and ironed I think it will look great. I love that the same plates that are on the sides, are on the corners, and that there is also one at the Midway point at the foot of the bed. The color comparison photo, with the white paper for reference, has the amazonbasics bed skirt on the left and the fresh ideas bed skirt on the right. What I don't like: This says it measures 78 in width wise, indeed I only measure it unwashed and new at 76 and 1/2 in at the same at the foot. Also, the interior material is absolute junk. It's not really material. I will wash it according to directions and see how it comes out. The drop is not quite as consistent as I would like it to be though I don't think it will be a problem. It ranges from 13 and 3/4 inches to 14 in. Although, with the normal settling on a bed, and the fact that it's going to be an inch off the floor anyways, I don't think it's going to be noticeable. The care symbols indicate a gental cycle 80 degrees Fahrenheit or below, non-chlorine bleach, low temperature normal tumble dry, and maximum iron temperature. Obviously you would not iron the platform which is made of polypropylene. I Washed it on warm heavy duty warm cycle with some other blankets because I was willing to test the durability of the polypropylene. Dried on a medium setting. The platform part appears to be completely intact, I found one tiny tear in a corner which it's possible was pre-existing. The skirt is mildly wrinkled which is in line with a poly cotton blend. It is roughly 76 1/4" wide after being in the dryer. This is fine for my purposes is I have a 76 in bed, but if you're actually looking for a true 78, this did not start off anywhere near that and it shrunk about a quarter of an inch on the footboard side. As nothing on Amazon exactly fit my needs, I went in this knowing full well that I was going to make an adaptation to whatever I bought. I ended up sewing a polyester queen-size flat sheet on the back of the polypropylene. I am so very very very very glad I did. I did a attach it to the sides, not to the polypropylene. When ironing, if your iron even considers the possibility of being near the polypropylene it melts like crazy. You can use the full hot iron just fine on the cotton-poly drop, but that junk platform material just melts like butter. I would say I am moderately pleased. This could have been the best bed skirt on Amazon if the platform material was a matching polyester. It doesn't even have to be the same exact material. And also if a tiny bit more time was given to the sewing. It appears that everything was probably cut correctly, and the bottom seam is superb, no puckering at all. It's the inconsistency in the drop and in the width. I most assuredly would have paid a few dollars more for those changes.

Exactly what I was looking for.
I have never owned a bed skirt or a dust ruffle or any such nonsense. Our impending baby brings a visiting Mother and other judgy family members though and the box spring has been dragged up too many flights of stairs. Bed skirt I must order. The LL Bean catalog has them for $150, that model bedskirt is for advanced bed skirters I imagine. Since I am an entry level bedskirter, this seemed an appropriately priced model. The fabric is a bit thin, but matches the price. It doesn't feel cheap however, which is nice. The pleats were all well sewn and ironed into neat sections. It fits our bed perfectly and looks great, the color is as advertised. I can't think of anything bad to say about this item. It is exactly as advertised! Well done!

An average skirt that could be outstanding...with a few improvements
I’m writing this review for two groups—customers and the company that produces these bed skirts. Back before Amazon eliminated the comments section, I got responses to my reviews from sellers that let me know they monitor the reviews and ideas for improvement. Thus, I hope that this company monitors reviews and will consider my suggestions. My first suggestion is to change the packaging from a fat rectangle (3”x5”x9”) to a wider, flatter package. Why? It would reduce the number of folds and related wrinkling. To companies this may not seem like much of a deal, but for consumers it creates more work before the skirt can be used. I realize it reduces costs to squeeze products into the smallest packaging possible, but that means the fold marks and wrinkles get really pressed in, particularly if products sit in that tight packaging on a shelf for a while. Plus, what I’m suggesting won’t mean more square inches in packaging...just change it from a thick rectangular block to a wide flat package. I have no idea how long my skirt languished on a shelf, but I can say that trying to get the skirt to match the product shots took considerable effort. I’ve dealt with this issue before, so I washed the skirt and ironed it right out of the washer so that it was quite damp. Still, it took an iron on high, a good bit of pressure and quite a few passes to eliminate the folds and wrinkles. It is because of this arduous task that I came up with my second suggestion. Make the platform material cloth (as reviewers in 2014 suggested was the case) instead of paper (as consumers have indicated from 2017 on). As I was pressing my very hot iron up near the skirt edge (where it meets the platform material), I overshot once and saw a meltdown similar to watching the edge of a lit piece of paper. I hit a spot of the platform perhaps an inch wide and 1/2” deep; and when it stopped disappearing, it was 3” wide and 1” deep. At that point, I decided to forego trying to get rid of the wrinkles near the border to avoid any further meltdowns. It’s really absurd that the platform of this skirt is so easily damaged by a brief touch of an iron or a washing (as another reviewer experienced). This is an item that needs to be laundered and ironed without having to be treated as something fragile. The platform doesn’t need to an expensive fabric...just a fabric, not paper. (I do think this is a realistic request, given that I got a skirt here on Amazon a couple of years ago for the same list price and a platform that is fabric.) Again, I hope that the company is checking these reviews and will consider my suggestions. The skirt fabric itself is quite nice and has enough body to hang well. The beige fabric is not opaque, but it is thick enough to hide whatever sins you are trying to disguise. In fact, I find the skirt fabric so satisfactory that I would likely make another purchase...if the platform material were fabric (not paper) and if the packaging involved fewer folds.

Perfect for our IKEA storage bed
We have a lifting slatted base bed from Ikea along with a sultan mattress. Our dog likes to rub her beard on the base and over time it looked dirty. Impossible to remove it from the bed. We got that bedskirt thinking it would look like a tacky granny bed. To our surprise, the look is very natural, luxurious, simple. The fabric has a nice grain to it that ressemble a luxury canvas. It looks so good, can't believe it. Length is perfect too. Not too long. I cannot comment about washing it and how it will look after yet. We didn't take a chance and ordered a second one. Love the look and the price can't be beaten. It is like having a new bed. And the dog loves it. Sight.

Beautiful bedskirt replaced a poor quality Company Store bedskirt
If I could give this 6 stars, I would. This bedskirt replaced a poor quality Company Store bedskirt. While not 100% cotton, this bedskirt ironed-up very nicely. Very thick, qualify material. Perfect navy blue. corners NOT SPLIT which I prefer. In other words, the fabric is continuous, so you can't see the corners of the box spring as it rounds the corers. Nice deep pleats. Perfect drop. My only complaint is that when I ironed the bedskirt, my iron touched the white material which goes under the mattress and the material immediately melted. I don't mind this cheap material under the mattress because the material that shows is of excellent quality. Plus a reasonable price, delivered in 2 days! ... BTW, I have since added a dark-stained ratan headboard, so the look is now amazing!

PERFECT!!!!!
I'm not sure it's healthy to be this excited about a bedskirt, but what can I say...the simplest things make me happy! I've purchased many bedskirts over the years and had finally given up on finding one that actually hung properly and fit my king sized bed. It seemed as if every one I bought was either too big or too small. Too big and it would look sloppy with the silky, under-mattress part showing. Too small and it would inevitably rip as I tugged to get it to hang properly. All that is a thing of the past! This bedskirt fits PERFECTLY! No silky, under-mattress part showing, but even if it did show a little bit, this bedskirt has actual fabric under the mattress instead of the cheap silky material that many bedskirts use. Not only that, but the poplin material the skirt is made from is crisp and hangs well. This was, without a doubt, one of the best gambles I've taken on Amazon.com. $20 well spent!
