Great product

I bought these to finish off dimensions after using the round cutter. The triangles dial in edges where the circles leave a bevel but have a smoother finish.

Anyone that struggles with chip control and having hot chips fly all over them and everywhere but the chip pan needs to discover these negative rake inserts/tools. They remove material well, leave a superb finish and send the chips directly into the chip tray.

You get what you pay for with these lathe tools. The inserts that came attached to the tool holders are absolutely horrible. I broke the tips off all three corners doing a simple facing operation in unhardened 4140. I then tried the packaged inserts and they are at least twice as good, but they still chip easily. If you are planning to use these with steel then you should buy some better inserts. I used a better though still cheap insert and could turn and face the same 4140 without a single issue. Look at the attached pictures, which show the weights. The tool holders themselves seem to be exactly what I was expecting, so I am happy with those at least.

Cutting mild steel I have no complaints.

These imported tool are quite sturdy, we have turn 2" hex 304 SS and they were able to withstand without getting damaged. These can use WNGM43x and CNMG43x series. I have turned with anywhere from 0.04 to 0.06" depth of cut and a feed from 0.005" to 0.01". I haven't use the TNMG yet, but they seems to hold TNMG33x only. Black oxide coating is weak and bare metal is exposed on many spot. Tool leveling isn't consistent from the CNMG or WNMG holder, will need to adjust the offset.

Currently have them set up in bxa holders. Have used two of them so far. Only about 60 lineal inches of cutting on 1/2" to 1" round. Have provide nice, smooth work so far.
