I have used these particular BPHS1 headsets for nearly 10 years, and they are proven to be reliable and high quality for broadcast use. I recently purchased two here listed as Amazon Renewed/refurbished. Both arrived as if they were brand new in complete packaging, fully wrapped and clean as if they had never been opened. Both tested working perfectly. Wasn't sure about buying the Renewed versions, but Amazon's 90 day return policy helped make the decision, and the new condition upon arrival makes me feel like this was an excellent value. These headsets are highly recommended for sports commentary, studio use, or even for podcasting or video production. They are XLR and 1/4" connections, not USB, so be sure that's what you need. Audio-Technica offers a similar headset with USB if you need that. I also purchased a headphone amp to run these through so the talent can hear each other simultaneously while recording through a mixer.

I bought two sets of these to use for livestreaming basketball games, and they have worked out superbly. The sound quality from the microphones is high quality and the dynamic microphone provides an acceptable amount of isolation of the announcer voices voice, allowing only a fairly minimal amount of ambient noise through. They are also comfortable to wear, and the headphones provide clean, clear audio of the broadcast back to the announcers. Overall, these were a great purchase, and even though these particular ones were renewed, I have had no issue with performance. Highly recommend, and will personally buy again if i ever need another set.

Great audio, heavy on the ears and the weight makes wearing it for extended periods of time very unlikely. The XLR connection and long cable do allow for some freedom from the audio amplification source

Used for voiceover and live recording. Well made. Fairly comfortable. Good sound. Great mic performance and very easy to position. The only negative is the windscreen slips off easily. A possible negative is the output level is very low I've attached a "video" clip (if Amazon allows it) containing audio that may be helpful. It was recorded with the windscreen in place, onto my Moto G phone using a home-built preamp. "ACX Check" shows the noise floor at -75.53 dB even though the bedroom window is open, the ceiling fan is running and the TV is playing downstairs.

These are outstanding headphones! I use them for podcasting, but can also be used with commercial broadcast applications too. Do not pass go, do not collect $500...get these headphones!

Audio-Technica is our choice for Announcer Headsets. They always work, can handle the jostling of moving from venue to venue, being out in the cold for football, in the high humidity of a pool for a swim meet or any other arena where we use them. They just continue to work year in and year out. The ear pads will wear out over the years and need to be replaced, but the headset and mic just keep working. This renewed pair was a great find to save a few dollars and get the reliability that comes with the BPHS 1.
