...because they're absolutely fantastic storage boxes for 3D printer filament. The gasket helps keep things sealed, which is essential to storing filament and makes desiccant packs work better. The two latches are sturdy and so far haven't gotten weaker in their hold from regular use, and the size is absolutely perfect to hold reels of filament. The width is just the right width for filament reels and they're long enough I can store an assortment of reels stacked on edge. There's extra space above the reels, which come in handy when I need to quickly stash a sample, remnants, or whatever else. They're clear, so I can actually see what filament is in the box without having to open every single one. I first bought these at Walmart last fall and wanted to buy more to hold more filament and other craft supplies. I was really bummed to see that I couldn't find them anywhere except Amazon and at a much (much, much) higher price than when I originally bought them in-store. However, these are so fantastic, it was worth it. I knocked a couple stars off on the durability rating because these are clear containers and they are in general more prone to shattering and splitting than similar containers made from opaque materials. I have opaque storage tubs from 15 years ago that have been kicked around with only some scratches as a result, but even fairly new clear storage tubs rarely survive long-term. They tend to fail (shattering, splitting) when used in spaces that have no climate control, are larger in size, packed with a lot of heavy items, or the weight of the contents isn't evenly distributed. The smaller clear containers, like this 20 qt gasket box I bought are more likely to last long-term since I am using them inside and only for storing filament reels. I was lucky that all of the containers arrived intact. I was worried about that, given the other reviews, but I think that just comes down to luck of the shipment. I love these gasket boxes for storing things. Especially for a storage unit! These keep bugs out and contents fresh. I even tested it and put fresh clothes in there after washing them, and when I opened the box they smelled exactly how they did the day I washed them! And it had been almost 3 weeks at that point. Easy to stack and perfect size for small things. Very lightweight and sturdy too. I also like that I can use a dry erase marker to label and that I don't need to open the box to see the contents.

These are very sturdy and nice, and I definitely like that they are air-tight as well as clear so you can see the contents! They do have a bit of plastic smell when new, but for anything that matters for the contents, putting a dryer sheet in resolves it. Some of the handles were loose on arrival so I thought they may be broken - but they just popped on wherever they belonged. I've bought several sets and sizes now so seasonal items can easily be stored then brought out.

These boxes are useful with good quality. I like them a lot.

I love the “seal” on these 20 Qt. gasket containers. The quality is excellent. I only needed 2 but couldn’t find them in a smaller quantity. But GUESS WHAT? I quickly had a need for all of them, LOL. I use one in my carpeted bathroom to hold liquid items that I fear would tip over and damage my carpet. It sets on the carpet under a ledge. The snap closures on the ends are solid and I don’t worry it could open by being bumped. I also realized they make excellent storage for all my many, many art supplies. Great for moist items like watercolors, liquid mediums, and preserving all my expensive Copic markers. I have several of these containers on what used to be my bookcase, but it’s now my art supply depot 😉. The plastic is very clear and I can see what I need before opening them. They also accept labels from my Dymo label maker well. They look attractive with that bit of aqua coloring at the top. And, lastly, I have all my office supplies in the last one. I have felt tip permanent markers as well as all my label making items, my Exacto knives, pens, pencils, box cutters, engraving pen, wood burning device, etc. I have discovered the joy of being organized and having attractive, crystal clear, quality containers making my life easier. A place for everything and everything in its place.

This arrived on time. They are as expected: nice, latching, quality sterilite boxes. The bottom box was broken, so I asked for a return/replacement. (In progress)

These are amazing for all moms with kids. The size is perfect for keeping kids toys and crafts together in one organized system.. the locking top and the seal keep the moisture out.

These are great for Storage, especially because of the gaskets. I got these used and had a good price.

I am VERY happy with these boxes! They arrived in perfect condition and are exactly what I wanted. Made in the USA, they are of much higher quality than Sterilite used to produce. Aesthetically pleasing, they are large enough to hold a worthwhile amount, yet small enough to be easily carried when full. They latch securely, stack easily and look very nice in a studio or work-room. One last feature that may seem small, but which pleases me very much: Each box arrived with two stickers on it, and all 12 stickers peeled off easily leaving not a trace of "goo"! Bonus!

Very pleased with this purchase. Not pleased with Canada Post’s delivery of same. - In fact I was very upset! These containers are quality and nice looking with their coloured rims and closure handles. For me these were a perfect size for stacking small items and the lids keep dust away. Happy, happy!

I love these! I use them mostly to store hand me downs from Kid1 to Kid2. Too bad they’re so expensive (everywhere, not just here), I should have stocked up a few years ago when they were just regular expensive.
