Men's Kamasu Stainless Steel Japanese-Automatic Diving Watch

Great watch at a great price. This watch is stunning in person. Online pictures do no justice whatsoever. Build quality is fantastic for the price. Overall, I'm insanely impressed. Accurate for the money, mine is running around +8 seconds per day (well within spec). Sapphire crystal, updated and new movement, day/date feature that is framed unlike most watches. The automatic movement is Japanese in house, that allows for hacking and hand winding. They got everything right on specs. Only con I can see is the bracelet is not the best quality. It does fine for what it is, but the clasp is a bit long, and it has hollow end links. Will probably upgrade it in the future, but its more than fine for now. One misconception is that the crown is loose. Yes the crown is a bit loose, for a reason. This watch uses a two piece, spring loaded shaft for the screw down crown function. The spring is what allows the crown to move when it's fully extended. It also allows better shock resistance, and protects the movement from damage. All in all, I'm super impressed. I wasn't sold on the watch at first when I saw it online. After going back and forth between this and a few other models, I'm more than happy I decided on this one.

This is my go-to, dependable, daily-driver watch. Simply stated, The Orient Kamasu kicks ass. Pros: -The sapphire glass -screw down crown -200m water resistance -decent bracelet with micro-adjustment holes -20mm lug width allows for easy switching to different straps, -Accurate in-house orient automatic movement - ~40 hour power reserve -Attractive watch face. All hour markers line up. -On my 7.5” wrist, the watch wears well. Doesn’t look oversized. On smaller wrists it might look oversized - but not on mine. Cons: -Lume could be brighter and last longer. -Bezel is less fluid and requires more force/pressure to turn & click. Turns in one direction. Not the worst but certainly could be improved. In the under $500 category, you really can’t go wrong with the Orient Kamasu. I wanted, and received, a sturdy daily-driver that would look at home on my larger 7.5” wrist. Bands can be swapped for more formal occasions. Wears well with NATO-style straps, as well. Overall, I’d give this watch an A- and only wish the luminescence was more bright and lasted longer. The bezel click/turning difficulty is so minor, as I’m not, nor will I be using this watch to actually time dives.

Amazing watch for the price. I went from a 38 mm to this and was worried it was going to be too large, but it fits beautifully I actually like it better than the 38 mm and doesn't feel large on my wrist. Keeps excellent time and the chapter ring aligns perfectly. I've heard complaints about the crown but I have no problem at all with the crown, it has deep grooves and it is easy to unscrew and screw back in with dry hands. The the band is nice and comfortable and I can't complain about the band at this price point I find nothing wrong with it. I love the fact that it is hacking and you can wind it. I bought it for the screw down crown for water resistance, sapphire crystal and the looks. Could not be happier with this watch, to me it is the ultimate watch for the price, other watches with these features will cost a lot more and love the fact that the movement is made in house. You can't go wrong with this watch and looks beautiful, different from the round hour markers and love the fact that the minute and second hand extends to the edge of the face, and love the red tip on the second hand.

This is a great, accurate, good looking and well built watch. Punches way above it's weight in terms of value. The movement is excellent, I opened it up to regulate it and it keeps to within +/- 2 sec a day, which is pretty great, definitely better than the movements Seiko offers currently. The case is unbelievably well built, as is the watch band (I can't understand why people say to replace it), I have no doubts this watch will last a decade or more. The bezel is not the greatest and sounds a bit like a freewheeling bike ratchet when you turn it, though. One gripe with this watch is the general look; it's a little too flashy for my taste, I really wish they had toned it down with the bezel and the shiny case. It turns too many heads, if you get what I mean. Also, I really wish I had gotten a color other than black, the sapphire crystal shows every fingerprint and scuff on it because the dial is so dark. If you get this watch definitely go for one of the brighter colors, you'll be glad you did, because the other dials are d*mn good looking. In my opinion, you're wasting your money buying anything cheaper than this watch if you do anything other than your desk job and babying your wrists, this thing will take a beating and keep ticking!

Excellent watch, great value, perfect size,great quality and sapphire crystal and in house movement can't go wrong with the Kamasu.

I bought this watch 2 months ago. I am very pleased with this watch. In reality it looks better than in the pictures (I bought black). The accuracy is very good and in the beginning my watch worked fast for about 4 seconds to 24 hours. After adjusting the accuracy, my watch works fast for 0.15 seconds to 24 hours and that is excellent. At the same time when I buy this watch, I also insert a new watch strap (Miltat Super J), because that strap is better than the original and more beautiful. I see that many users complain about the crown (too small or wobbly). I have no such problems, the crown on the watch is not wobbly at all and the size of the crown is very good for my fingers. I only complain about the bezel, because it is not perfectly centered. So I had to remove the bezel and fix it with tiny adjustments and now is perfect. Anyway, I am very satisfied with this watch and I think it is the best watch for money, because the watch has a very good automatic movement (F6922) with the possibility of manual winding and hacking, sapphire crystal and looks very nice.

Great all round watch for the price and looks good on the wrist, only downside for me me its running fast gains about 5 mins a week seems some others a experienced the same fault. So that's 52 times a year at least you have to alter the time thinking how will this affect the crown mechanism maybe ware and tear and possibly the water resistance of the watch. Hence my return of the watch which is a shame.

I bought the Kamasu with steel bracelet, 3 weeks ago. Have wanted a diver watch all my life. This watch is a Keeper! Polished and brushed in stylish patterns, around 5 seconds gained per day, very comfortable and sapphire crystal means it will look very similar 5 years from now. Wore it in the pool for hours and no issues. What a deal for just over CA$300! Several reviews dislike the bracelet. To me, it is the best bracelet ever owned. perfect size compared to the watch, very adjustable, and the clasp is great. Very proud to own this watch, it deserves all the praise it gets. I hope I am saying this 3 years from now.

Excelente reloj, excelentes acabados, lo mejor que puedes adquirir por el precio, un movimiento de la propia marca Japonesa que en mi caso particular me da 6.5 seg mas al día, y esta excelente, cristal de zafiro, en fin de lo mejor. Lo único que se podría mejorar es el brazalete pero igual compras otro, aunque el que trae tampoco es tan malo, cuestión de gustos.

A good looking watch, certainly worth the price. My unit is a bit on the fast side, but nothing serious. Shipping was a disgrace, and I did not return because the watch was ok. The outer paper box is lost to the bad shipping, though.
