Ordered this because I live in an apartment complex and I don’t feel comfortable knowing employees could access our place. Our front door already had the hole for it so it was such a quick and easy installation since it fit perfectly. It comes with all the parts you need. It looks normal just your generic indoor lock, and great quality. I can sleep better knowing I’m safer now!

I'm not sure what reviewers mean by a "back plate" for this Deadbolt. It's designed to be a deadbolt that is totally hidden from outside the door. If the door has been drilled through for a lock to be used from inside and outside the door, this deadbolt is not the right one. Those who say the screws that come with this lock aren't long enough are trying to use the lock on a deadbolt system that can be locked or unlocked from both sides of the door, but, it's not made for that application. It's a deadbolt designed to be locked from inside only when the user is inside the house or apartment.

Just a REMINDER that this is a HALF-BORE dead bolt. Which means only half the door is drilled out to fit and don't go all the way through. So don't buy this expecting a key for it. This idem is very hard to find in hardware stores or even order through them with claims they have it. They don't... Amazon came in with the save; product is true to color and hardware included. My only issue I had was, the center rod that turns the lock was too long to secure fitment. So, I cut the rod 1cm with a Dremal to make fit and now works perfectly. I'm not sure if the center rod is supposed to be longer for different applications but works fine now.

This is a very heavy duty lock. But it does not come with a back plate. It is the strongest one that I have found and it is heavy duty. Just need one with its own back plate.

Just installed this today after I got out of work. Quick and simple installation. Definitely worth the money and it fits perfect. If you're looking to replaced a damaged deadbolt, just get this one.

Don't get confused, this is just 1 single end , for a little bit more you can get the whole deadbolt set with key

Arrived in opened packaging that had been stapled & taped back together. Shame, as product was good, but couldn't be used as a gift.

I wanted a dead bolt lock for french door. If the key enter was visible on the outside, the glass would be broken to unlock it. This solves that problem. However the latch did not come with an extra plate and long screws to reach the stud. I think that this is because the door itself would break before the door frame would. It was easy to install with the right tools,

En la descripción deberían mencionar que solo funciona para puertas de madera y delgadas; yo lo quise poner en puerta metálica con 4.2 cm de grosor y no quedó porque no queda fijo y al momento de apretar para fijarlo se tuerce y la perilla queda dura. Por lo tanto, tomen en cuenta que donde piensen colocarlo sea una puerta de madera, no ten gruesa donde el cilindro pueda quedar fijo y no bailando en el hueco.
