I build many computers for retired clients, this is by far the best, solid/stable CPU for very budget pc builds. This CPU along with 2x8GB for 16GB of memory and 660P intel 500GB m.2 NVME SSD... is a 10 year office computer and basic home computer. 100 percent recommend this. No graphics card needed.

Good processor and quality product for the money,it also comes with the cooler.(i just touched with finger the thermal paste, on the backside that`s why).Works well,no issues were discovered during this time, aslo the temperature of the processor as you can see.

Using this as a Minecraft server, Plex server, file download system, media server and game emulation machine. It's works perfectly for all of these things while not consuming too much wattage.

I bought this used for a good price for a project i was working on and, as far as it working as its intended, it did fine. This CPU was launched in 2019. It can still have a purpose in a light use desktop. Something for casual web browsing, email or simple productivity programs. It struggles with gaming. 4 cores in 2025 is very limiting. An 8th or 9th gen i5 would do a much better job with 6 cores. The i3-9100 is still useful but limited it what it can handle and service updates will cease summer 2025.

I'm using this for a media center PC, it is using the CPU's graphics. I had my mobo die and it had a i5-8700 in it and I found that the 1151 in that gen is not compatable with current 1151 (thanks, Intel). I was not 100% sure the CPU did not die with the board and old style 1151 boards are hard to find and expensive, so I did a full replacement. I went from a i5-6400 to this i3-9100, and it is actually an upgrade, this i3 outperforms the i5 in benchmarks by 17% and is actually noticeably more peppy than the old processor. This is based on running Linux, Windows is very inefficient so it's hard to say how well it runs under windows - but as a Linux media server, it shines.

I assembled my Mining Rig with this cpu and she handles very good everything! Really good price for a really good cpu.

Purchased for a Plex media center. Works great - loving the hardware transcodes with Intel QuickSync. Handles moderate work loads without issues and can actually be used for light gaming as well. Temps are also good, and the chip is running cool and quiet with a Noctua cooler. Overall very pleased with this upgrade.

Un bel processore, non c'è da dire altro. In passato ho avuto a che fare con Intel per una restituzione, in quel caso la scheda madre, diventata difettosa senza nemmeno preavviso, aveva bruciato la CPU a causa di un bug sul VRM nel firmware (che personalmente ho identificato solo dopo). Nella mia vita non ho mai visto invece CPU intel difettose che si guastano senza motivo e comunque Intel me l'aveva sostituito senza farsi troppi problemi nonostante avrebbe potuto non farlo. Da quel giorno compro solo Intel. Raccomanderei sia Intel che Amazon in quanto, viste le esperienze precedenti, hanno politiche di supporto molto simili.
