Detailed, individual maps and history on the battles of World War II. It isn’t too overwhelming for the student and is an enjoyable read for the history buff. Hardback so it will ensure lots of reading and reviews, durable pages too (not those thin, flimsy, easily tearable pages!) - this book will likely stand the test of our schooling years and beyond.

This is a great book. A lot of deep information formatted in an easy to read way. It's a great read before a trip to Normandy.

What it says on the cover is exactly what you get. It's a very detailed book covering WW2 from prologue to epilogue, showing maps of how the factions expanded, advanced, retreated, rose, fell, and more throughout the conflict. It's a thick book and very detailed and informative. Worth the buy especially if cartography and/or WW2 is your thing.

Got it for, basically, half-off standard retail. At that price, it's a fine addition to the WWII library. Some interesting information displayed in a mostly entertaining way. I get that battle maps are always a challenge (maps are static - battles are dynamic). This does a fairly adequate job - better than most battle maps - though far from groundbreaking. item arrived well packed - no issues with binding (as some others seem to report). Though the book overall is a bit "warped" and several of the maps are mis-printed or mis-cut as to make them unusable. 3 bad out of 300 - not horrible - again at the price I paid. If the subject interest you - I'd suggest getting - but not a "must have".

This book goes through the history of both world wars. The details are incredible. I am enjoying it Maps are an explanation of each phase of the 20 th century

This was purchased for my grandson for Christmas and he was thrilled with it. He collects all things pertaining to WWll. Even his friends enjoyed it. Pictures clear and easy to read.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend, and she ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!!!!!!!!!! The book was a bit bigger than I expected, but it's the perfect present for a WWII enthusiast!
