Fitz-All Replacement Pan Handle

The handle seems to fit the pot however unable to screw it on. Screw threads do not fit exiting screw hole. Tried to use the old screw but due to the design of the new handle the screw is too long and won’t tighten down. I need to go to the hardware store and find a new screw. It would have been nice if they would have provided a few different size screws. Due to not being able to use this I rated one star.

This handle is much thinner than the one it replaced. I had to modify it to make it work.

Aluminum piece attached at base is worthless. Other than that this handle replaced the one on a pan that was my Moms. It is over fifty years old and still in fantastic shape. It meets my needs.

We had a set of 3 ply cookware we bought about 40 years ago. Two of the pans had broken handles. I saw these on Amazon and decided to try them. Well, they fit and do the job. They're not as sturdy as the originals but they are better than broken handles. The bolts that came with them didn't fit but I just used the original bolts. At this price, I can afford to replace them if they break again. Easy peasy. I might look for some more sturdy ones in the meantime. But hey, they work.

The handle was a light weight version of the original handle, and I had to use extra washers to tighten it to the pan. My original flame guards were stainless steel, which I had retained only one of, and the ones that came with the Fitz-All replacement handle were alumimum, with no way to stay on the handle. I had to purchase high temperature tape to hold them on. I was disappointed, but am using them.

Bolt was not the correct size. It has been too long for me to return so I'll have to buy one.

Not nearly as sturdy as the one it replaced but we managed to get it attached so it works. How long it lasts remains to be seen but for now, it serves it's purpose and is well worth the price. I would recommend it.

Served the purpose, but a little fragile. Screw they provide didn't fit and had to drill hole little bigger to accomodate my screw and angle was also wrong. It's a decent enough product to allow someone to modify it to suit but would not be good for someone that can't do that.

I would give no stars if I could. First it doesn't fit my 43 year old Kenmore/Sears 3 ply pots. The bakelite handle finally crumbled on my 1.5 qt saucepan and I needed a new one. The screws with this are too small so I tried the original 1/4" dia. screw but it wouldn't fit the hole so I drilled it larger. When I tightened the screw, the metal heat shield/trim collapsed as it was made from thin aluminum instead of stainless like most pot handles. I trimmed away the excess aluminum so it would fit and got the handle on finally. Now when I pick up the empty 1.5qt pot (2nd smallest in the set) the handle bends, it bends worse if I put water in it. When I put the pot on a stove the handle had a bit of melting happening, it seems to be plastic, not bakelite that you would expect. The smallest problems were that it attaches at a strange angle and is uncomfortable to hold. The best thing about this is handle is that Amazon refunded my money. Thanks Amazon.
