Pop-OH-Matic FUN!
We bought this game with the intent to use when kids come to visit. HOWEVER, as we fondly remembered this game from our youth, we opened it right away and we play it ourselves near our pool or out on our front porch. We laugh as much as kids while we play! And we are (allegedly) sane people in our late 40s!My only gripe about this game is that the carton it came in (not shipping carton, the game carton Milton Bradley made) was so thin that it was partially crushed. Luckily the game inside was fin.The clear plastic game board has a printed carboard insert you install yourself that is very cheaply made. I suppose MB did this to cut corners but like so many things from my youth the craftmanship is now so different .Any matter, for the money it is a lot of fun and the pop cube is sturdy. If you buy this game, don't just save it for the kids, play it yourself!

Pay the extra for this higher quality Trouble game (not as flimsy as the cheaper one)
This is as close to the "old" version of the Trouble game as you can get by purchasing new. It is heavier duty than the cheaper version. The little pegs are fully formed and not just partial making it more fun to play. It is hard to describe the ways in which this game board feels better than the newer, flimsier one currently for sale at most places. If you have played trouble with the older version of the game you expect a little bit of substance and weight to the game board. If that is the case I suggest that you buy this one and not the less expensive one which really has a cheaper fell to it. This one is nicer and sturdier. We play this as a family often and the slightly sturdier board just feels better to the touch.

Fun Game
The game is a fun to play, but my kids (6 and 3 years old) didn't quite get it. The board quality is pretty low (just a sheet of molded plastic over a piece of cardboard), and there is no place to hold the pieces besides the flimsy box the game comes in. I don't expect the pieces to stay with the board very long, and will probably have to use a ziploc or something to keep it all together. The game itself is fun. My 3 year old could push down the popper herself with some effort, and that was her favorite part of the game. I agree with others that younger kids will get frustrated not rolling a 6 to get a piece out of home. I allowed them 2-3 pops to give them a chance to play. The game is more fun with more people, but that also increases the chance of sending someone back to start. We tried to make it fun, but the kids weren't real happy about getting sent back after so much time trying to get out.I'd recommend it to others, but would think it more fun for 7-12 years old or so.

Love Getting Into Trouble!
I purchased this game when Hasbro had the rebates and made it an irresistible 4 dollars (on amazon)! We have quite a collection of Family Games for Family Night. This game is easily played by all, including our 5 year old. I guess it could help kids with counting, but as it only goes to six, not too much. But, what it does teach is patience and persistence. There is a tiny bit of skill involved as well as you have to think about which piece to move to keep safe with your roll (or pop). Thinking ahead and strategic planning easy enough for a kindergartener. Plus the kids love popping the dome and we are not hunting around the living room for an awol die. I am happy with the purchase.

OLD SCHOOL Trouble Game...quality product
I was looking for the thicker solid (not thin and flimsy) plastic gameboard that was similiar to the gameboards in the 80's & 90's. This gameboard IS NOT the flimsy piece of junk that is on the market now in the big box stores for $5-7. I paid a little more, but it was worth every dime. The game board is solid. The bubble popper in the middle is made of thicker plastic as well. It isn't not a gameboard from the 80's, but the quality is top notch. After much research and online inquiry, I realized that the newer Trouble games were not made as sturdy as games made in the previous years. I was lucky enough to find a seller...under the "other options" (new/used) who had this game in almost new condition, all the pieces were there. I thought this was fabulous!! Milton Bradley's Trouble has the thicker quality plastic that was used to make the boards in the past years. The current (thinner and flimsy) game boards are made by Hasbro. Keep that mind if you have a preference. My 6 year old and I have had many fun games and look forward to many more fun family game nights ahead with this game.

Flimsy, cheap version. NOT the version pictured. NOT the Classic Trouble board.
I bought the 'newer" Trouble and was disgusted by how flimsy and cheaply it was made -- nothing like the one I had as a kid, which is the one pictured in this product ad. This one claimed to be the "classic" Trouble and was $20 more, so I bought it, thinking it was what it said it was. However, it is false advertising. I received the same crappy, flimsy, cheap new Trouble board game, where there is a piece of paper that goes over the plastic board peg holders. When you push the number bubble, all the pieces come flying off the board because it is THAT FLIMSY. So you are constantly fixing the pieces and trying to remember where you are in the game. I am returning it immediately. It is FALSELY ADVERTISED. It is NOT WHAT IS PICTURED OR DESCRIBED.

Not a strong version of good, old fashioned game
We like this game, despite my daughter's screams when she is send back again and my son's refusal to play the game for a couple of days after he has lost. It teaches essential skills of winning and losing, setbacks and gain. It's just good natured fun and at the end we all have a laugh. What we don't like is the quality: the box is thin, the 'pop-o-matic' has a small crack after 2 plays (it works fine, just doesn't look good), piece of carton with rubber feet covered with plastic as the playing board, unattractive game pieces. Can they please go back and look at how this game was made a 30 years ago when I was a child??

Fun classic game
This brought back lots of memories for us, it has the classic print and pieces of the older versions. The dice jumps around and cause lots of trouble.Fun game to play even with only two people

100% happy, great quality.
Perfect condition. The board is fixed by 4 rubber buttons so it doesn’t move on the table. Great quality, like in my childhood. No missing pieces. Box in perfect condition. I would recommand it without any doubt.

Good but cheaper than before
The quality of this game is better than what was available at Toys r Us, but not as good as they used to make them (30 years ago)!
