Works very well and doesn't require 2 people.
Simple and easy to use. Doesn't require two person team to perform. Didn't break like cheaper aluminum tool, and did not break inner cartridge. Like it. No straps, no make shift press/wood. Much safer.

Simple tool, excellent results
Simple tool, excellent results. I pulled one of my forks apart to change oil without this tool. After nearly wrecking the fork I realized I wasn't going to get the fork back together without some sort of tool. I was working on forks for my 2006 CBR1000 and the service manual makes no mention of needing a spring compressor. After watching some You Tube videos I saw some guys using a tool like this one. I wasn't sure if this was going to work with my Honda and if there was going to be any other tools needed. I didn't replace the seals, just did an oil change. Once I had the tool it turned out that it was indeed the only tool I needed (besides basic hand tools) to get my fork back together. It also made doing the second fork tube a snap. Trying to do this without this tool was just dumb on my part. It was well worth the money! As a side note, I ordered this from Motorsport Superstore through Amazon. The shipping was free and lightning fast! From TX to WI in one day! bravo!

Works perfectly and is well built
Phenominal tool. Made compressing the forks on my 09 Daytona 675 a breeze. Easy to use, easy to clean, and I can just hang it up on the wall, so even though it is a large tool, it won't be in the way in my tiny garage.

This is a great tool!
This spring compressor is a must have when servicing USD forks. It makes the disassembly process so easy. Plus there is no need for two persons, or the use of tie down straps commonly required with the other compressor tools. It holds everything in place with the spring compressed for as long as necessary. Also, with a little creativity, it can be fastened to a workbench so that the tool is stationary and at a comfortable working height. Great product. It really is a good deal when you consider the cost is equivalent to about 1.5 hours of labor at today's rates in most motorcycle shops.

Scratches and rust
It will work yes. But the photo shows a nice black tool. Mine was an old looking gold powder coated one with rust on it and scratches in the powder coat. Either it was used or been sitting around on the shelf for years. I feel like i should have recieved a discount from what was pictured to what i actually recieved. Dissapointed.

Should have bought it sooner
Super basic tool, It's likely overpriced for what it is but I didn't have spare time to make my own. It compresses fork springs effortlessly, wish I had one years ago. If you're wrestling with screwdrivers or those cheap handles to compress springs, just get this and be done with it.
