I carefully reviewed both the positive and negative reviews on Amazon before purchasing this set. I could not be happier with the product I received. I went ahead and seasoned them a few times after receiving, although I'm not sure that was necessary. They maintain heat well, and cook evenly. I've used on both the stove top and in the oven. The dutch oven cooked my sourdough bread to perfection.

I bought these for use on an induction stove top. I've always used cast iron. My old ones were lost in a move.

Absolutely beautiful and great quality, heavy duty

I have been looking to add to my cast iron collection for a while & finally did when I saw this set on sale. I wanted to wait a while to write a review until I used them enough to give a fair review. I have more good to say than bad, but there has been a downside. Let me start by saying all the cast iron I already had was handing down from my great grandmother, grandmother, mother & rescued from garage sales & needed TLC. So my expectations about newer cast iron was a bit lower than the older cast iron. I read reviews on Lodge (mostly positive) & also did some research. When I saw this set on sale I bought it. It arrived nicely packaged, no chips ( I saw a couple of reviews saying there were chips) & already seasoned. I washed the pieces & seasoned them. I don't really see any difference in the cooking which is good. The quality & sizes are good. I'm a huge fan of the griddle. However, I do have an ongoing issue with the lid to the Dutch Oven. First, the underside spikes are a bit sharp & it's a challenge to clean in between them. The 1st time I used the Dutch oven it was for a roast that I cooked for about 6 hours. I didn't notice until the roast was done the underside of the lid was completely rusty. Really disappointing & rusty enough that I wasn't comfortable feeding the roast. I cleaned it really well and seasoned it but it happened when I experimented with water the second time as well. It was not nearly as bad as the first use but still not good. I have my grandmothers Dutch Oven so I just use that when I'm doing a long cook needing a lid. I use the Lodge Dutch Oven without the lid for baking. Overall, I have had no other rusting issues with any of the other pieces & would most likely purchase Lodge cast iron in the future.

I’ve had this Lodge set for a couple of years now, and I still think it’s one of the best kitchen investments I’ve made. Each piece is hefty and feels solid in the hands, you can tell it’s built to last. The 10.5" griddle is wide enough for pancakes or tortillas without feeling bulky, and the 8" and 10.25" skillets are the perfect everyday sizes for frying eggs, sautéing veggies, or searing steaks. The handles are a bit shorter than those on modern nonstick pans, which can take some getting used to, especially when the pan is full. That said, the shorter handles actually make the heavier pans easier to maneuver and store, though I always use a towel or mitt since they stay hot for a long time. The Dutch oven is deep and surprisingly roomy for soups, stews, or baking bread, and I love that the 10.25" lid fits both the skillet and the Dutch oven, it makes the whole set feel more versatile. Over time, the seasoning has only improved, and with proper care, washing by hand and drying right away, I’ve had no issues with rust or chipping. For me, the weight is a tradeoff I’m happy with; it makes the pieces feel stable on the stove and worth the extra effort. If you’re willing to care for them, these are cookware pieces that can last a lifetime. Pro Tip: Because of the shorter handles and weight, I keep silicone handle covers nearby for easier grip when cooking.

Bought as a wedding gift; AMAZING value for this combo. My niece LOVES them, especially the Dutch oven.

Really good purchase. Like the quality and heat retention. Seasoned it a bit and it is doing reasonably well on being non-stick as well. Got this for £66 - so a very good buy. The delivery was quick - adding to an already excellent experience.
