Ginkos absolutely love lime. ( Raises Soil PH ) The Spring is a good time to fertilize your Ginkgo with lime, don't fertilize past May/June due to burning the leaves, etc. Lime acts to neutralize soil acidity and supply nutrients such as calcium and magnesium to the soil. Do not add Lime to the following: AZALEA-BLUEBERRY-CAMELLIAS-ENKIANTHUS ( pagoda bush )-GAULTHERIA ( eastern teaberry, the checkerberry, the boxberry, or the American wintergreen )-HEATHERS ( culluna )- PIERIS ( . Puts Mother Earth back to the perfect PH
After you open the Down to Earth Organic Garden Lime Calcium Carbonate, you will find a transparent bag. It's full of small Calcium Carbonate grey pieces. I measure two sections of soil. One before adding and one after adding. The PH did change in the area of soil to which I added the content to. Here is the product I used to measure the PH [link].
