My bird has been on this for ten years now. She gets regular vet checks. She is in perfect health (which is not easy for this species). PB is only about 50% of her diet. Variety is an important component of any parrot diet. My experience with this food has only been positive. This is the first time I've purchased it online. I was very pleased. It arrived quickly, packaged well, in great shape, and priced well. I will be a repeat customer!

My veterinarian is holding my beloved Eclectus, Ruby, overnight for observation. I took her to the vet because she was listless, cranky, bitey and squawky, which is abnormal enough for her. She was struggling to poop, wouldn't drink, wouldn't eat, and didn't want to be touched. The opposite of when she's well and happy. When I told the avian vet what I was feeding her along with her fresh fruits and veg, she was mortified. DO NOT FEED THIS TO YOUR ECLECTUS!! There is no legitimate reason to put coloring in bird food and even less of one for adding toxic dyes. BEWARE!!! I love the product, since it is made for the Eclectus parrots, which need a slightly different diet than other parrots. I find when I am feeding this brand to them, I see an improvement in feather appearance (brighter and fuller), and something that my eclectuses actually enjoy eating. I do feed this along with some seed diet (again geared towards the eclectus) for a more varied diet.

When I first bought this my Eclectus wouldn't eat it but we ran out of his other food, and then he ate it. I guess he got hungry enough, but he still didn't like it. It was stale, even when I first bought it and opened the bag.

This pellet mix has corn in it and ma made dyes like yello 7 etc… Eclectus has the longest digestive system of all parrots and the dyes will affect the feathers coloring Do not recommend
