I stored the bag in a covered container for freshness. I also give wet food everyday, and the kitten dry food. It is a good value as it is one kitten eating this. It's good quality for my kitten. You don't need to spend a fortune for kittens, when they are getting the essentials. These are bite size, they fit in their mouths easily, they appear like little stars, the size is exactly what you would need for a kitten. The value is wonderful for how much you get, there is not a very strong smell, it's soft enough to mix with a canned food so that they can easily digest it. The appearance is shaped like little stars, it's not the best quality food, but I have worked in shelters and rescues a number of years before breeding, and it is the right amount of nourishment for both kittens and cats that might need a little extra bonus in their diet if they are sick. It's always a good idea to feed your adult cats kitten food when they're under the weather.

They still love it, and I like the quality and price. It gets expensive quickly when trying to fix and feed multiple stray/feral cats.
