Let me count the ways in which I love this set of clippers! My husband and I treat our dog like a spoiled little baby, and therefore we don't particularly like using professional groomers. We don't like the idea of dropping him off at the groomer's for the day, and we know he would be super anxious and bark up a storm without us. We do have some mobile groomers in the area, but they have mixed reviews, and when we did use one, our dog was very anxious during his cut. So instead my husband and I decided to attempt the impossible -- purchase clippers so that we could do our own dog haircuts! I am so glad we purchased this set of clippers. Not only are they relatively cheap ($30 vs. a couple of hundred dollars like some of the other sets cost!), but they have been working perfectly for a couple of years. The set comes with a pair of scissors, which are helpful for getting some spots that can't really be clipped easily, like around the paws and around the face/eyes, and the clippers themselves come with multiple guards, for different length cuts. The blade is pretty quiet and it did a good job of not scaring our poor little guy away. While the clippers do get kind of warm eventually, I think they last a good 20 minutes before I start to feel any warmth and that's enough time for some good grooming (of course, if you need more time, you can let the device cool and start back up again after about 5 minutes). I would definitely recommend these clippers for any doggie parents who want to give their pups haircuts right at home!

After about 8 years, the clippers we had by Wahl finally gave up. It was a cordless pro series model that never was even had the blade sharpened. For the replacement, we knew the brand was outstanding, however I didn't like the cordless model, one because over time the charge wouldn't hold, so to operate it, the unit needed to be plugged in all the time. This time around we wanted a model that was not cordless, affordable and could handle cutting the hair of our 11 year old Lhasa Apso. We ordered the item through Amazon obviously, and since we have Prime, the item arrived in two days flat, just in time for her monthly cut. With the other clippers it would take me around 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending of the length of the hair to finish. With this unit it took me one hour flat, so a 50% performance increase is awesome. Next, every single one of these clippers will vibrate, so expecting none or almost no vibration is not realistic. The unit itself where you place your hand gets warm not hot, after a solid non stop one hour use, again expected. What was completely unexpected is a blade that is NOT even warm after that same hour use, making your pet feel at ease all the time, specially around the sensitive paws, belly and inside of the ears. The unit comes with around 3-4 blade guards to change hair length, perhaps not as many as other units but more than enough for us. Everything can also be stored safely using the enclosed hard plastic case with a built in handle. Anyways, not being a pro groomer, but just the plain ol' butler to a furry Lhasa Apso makes this a perfect item that pays for itself with the first cut. I think that if you take care of the unit, and you are using it on one or two animals, it will hold up for years. ** TIPS ** Clean the unit after each use, to keep the blades going for as long as the other machine did without sharpening, the only thing I did was to spray a bit of WD 40 to remove any debris and prevent oxidation. NEVER clean with water and let only to air dry, you will ruin it. Of course after using the WD 40 clean excess with a dry paper towel.

This is a sturdy clipper, and I don't find it all that loud. The combs and the adjustment lever are easy to deal with; most of the issues I have are just with needing practice cutting my dog's hair. The combs & options are pretty basic, nothing fancy, but it suits my needs - I cut my shih tzu fairly short all over + teddy bear head. (have clipped her ~2-3x now) The DVD was decent as far as general use and a few tips for cutting. I do wish they had a general haircut tips section so you don't have to watch the individual breed haircuts separately to see what techniques you might need, but that's not a big deal because 1) fast forward and 2) you tube. (I do recommend trying to find the haircut you want on You Tube for tips! it's a huge help) The only other thing I wish I had is a smaller blade - I've seen the type, where the metal plate is the width of the clipper but the actual cutting blade is just a teeny 1cm thing - don't know what it's called but that would be really helpful for trimming in between paw pads. I think you can buy one that fits this clipper, so that's not a defect of the set, just something I didn't know I needed until I tried it. General recommendations if you plan to clip your dog yourself: 1) this is a good basic set; keep your blades clean! 2) get safe/blunt tip scissors for around the face, and blending shears (look it up! got mine on amazon also) for areas you can't use the clipper so you don't have obvious choppy scissor lines. My dog looks 100% less stupid now that I have them. 3) plan to work in stages the first time - let your dog escape or have some treats after a section of haircut, then call them back and keep going. Probably took me over an hour the first haircut and I didn't even get everything done. 4) if you don't have one of those tables with the leash clip things to keep them in place, just let the hair go all over and vacuum when you're done. saves time. 5) be careful. Don't cut your buddy. Better they have a few missed spots or shaggy bits than get cut.

Es la segunda cortadora wahl para mascotas que adquiero, si la primera me habia resultado muy buen, esta parece tener incluso mejor calidad, las peinetas tienen un plástico muy resistente, el filo es excelente, hace poco ruido, cumple muy bien su funcion... si se calienta pero nada que te impida trabajar... yo la uso alrededor de 40min seguidos y sin ningún problema, la súper recomiendo para mantener a tu mascota reluciente yo la uso con un cocker que requiere mantenimiento de su corte cada 16 dias, no trae cd de como cortar el pelo, pero si un estuche rigido para todos los componentes

I m opening this product today for my pet purpose 22.11 2025. But I brought it on September 2025. I can't check it because I trust amazon. But today I was wrong amazon gave me defective product and before used this trimmer by some one. I don't know how I exchange this

Very disappointed with this item. Firstly, it had a US plug on it and wasn't compatible with 240v UK sockets, so we had to buy an additional transformer. Then once we'd bought that we plugged the item in and it was so noisy our dog fled. Perhaps it was broken, I don't know but it was extremely loud. Un-usably loud. My husband has Wahl clippers for his hair and they are of a much higher quality and are very quiet. These looked as if they could be fake.
