Simichrome Metal Polish, 1000 Gram

Simichrome Polish is simply the best metal polish I've ever tried. A small amount is all that's required to bring out a superior luster on many kinds of metals. I've used it on all of my antique brass, bronze, sterling, copper, platinum and even iron pieces. It does not have an overwhelming odor as most metal polishes do, so that, is a definite bonus. For very dirty metal pieces, always scrape or buff off the grime with either steel wool or wire brush, etc.,before cleaning. Apply a small amount on a soft, clean cloth while gently rubbing in the polish. Your cloth will soon turn shades of black, so you'll see instantly that it's working. Wipe off excess polish, and buff to desired shine. 1000 gram.is obviously the best deal, but only if you have massive quantities of metals to polish - or share with friends & family! My feeling is, because of Simichrome's incredible results, one should always have more of it than not enough!

After discovering Simichrome over 30 years ago through a company that sells products to car restoration folks, I've never used any other metal polish. Take metal that is dull, that was never plated, that has weathered or poor condition, and it will make the metal look great and protect it. I use it on aluminum, stainless steel, bare steel, plated metal. Simichrome only works as it is rubbed on the metal, it's not one of those "put on and leave for ten minutes" products. It has an unpleasant odor, so apply with ventilation, outdoors or in a garage. Using gloves when applying it is a good idea. Using a shop towel, a small amount covers a decent area, however I have found several applications are required over the same area to bring out the desired brilliance of the metal. When satisfied with the degree of metal shine, buff the metal with a soft dry cloth. From Germany and not so easy to find in typical auto parts stores, I had never found it in a 1 KG container until the Amazon website; this size really brings down the cost per ounce compared to buying it in a tube. For people who will use this for a show car, bringing a tube of Simichrome for touchup at a show is advisable.

Semichrome is the absolutely the best product we have found to polish stainless! 0000 steel wool and some elbow grease and you have beautiful stainless again. It is so easy to use, little polish and start polishing.

A really fantastic product, once you can get a metal surface down to a 0000 steel wool level scuff, this product will bring that surface to a brilliant mirror finish. Used gently it will even bring back the gleam to chrome surfaces with an almost undetectable level of swirl, I don't know of any other product that will do this. I've used it with foam wheels and hand rubbed finishing to really impressive results, easily reading text on US currency in the reflection that require a loupe to see directly. I give this 4 stars instead of 5 because of the vendor (iSave), I paid for very expensive expedited shipping and it was not even shipped for several days, was poorly packed, can arrived like it had been kicked around the block a few times, and the actual shipping time was quoted on amazon as 2 days and it took a week. Complaints to the vender about this were basically met with a screw you attitude. I would absolutely buy this product again, and I would absolutely not buy it from iSave again.

I have used this polish for 45 years! Great product and it's uses on metal seem unlimited. I highly recommend it I bought this big can for the savings it offers over the tubes. I expected the can to be reasonably durable, rather like a paint can. But it is a very thin metal can, similar to a pop can. I'll have to transfer the contents to a sturdy container, or risk loosing a lot of polish if I drop the can, because it will surely burst. But again, I don't think there is a better polish available.

Clean any kind of metal. I use the and can't recommend anything else to clean all my silver jewlery, not to mention cleans brass copper, it's the best thing I have ever used. After you polishi would clean off the polish in cool/ warm water with dawn dish soap. Then stand back and admire how beautiful what you just shined looks.
