Drive Medical 12036 Handicap Grab Bar, White

I’ve purchased this for my best friend to get in & out of his bathtub safe & easy. The picture is a little off, it looks like the handlebar is small, which it’s not. Just an optical illusion due to taking the picture from above & not at the same height. My friend is ecstatic about this easy to mount, sturdy, movable without damage to tub safety bar. He even sent a picture to his sister, encouraging her to get one too. The grip is sturdy and safely mounted on the tub. It came well made & packaged. An excellent buy at a “steal”. If you’re getting on in age, have a disability or one of your loved ones does, get one for their safety & your peace of mind. They may not need it right now but it will be there as a precaution. It is easy to move to the position needed no matter how often with the strong screw keeping the grab bar on the tub without causing any damage. I highly recommend this product!

Great grab bar to provide safety, support and stability when you get out of the shower. I stalled one in both bathrooms of my home. I moved into this new place. Both bathtubs are very deep and the sides of the tub are high. There are no built in grab bars around inside the shower stall area above the tubs. I am not handicapped and I don't want to be. This is why I installed these grab bars. Even younger, able people can slip and fall in the shower/tub. This is an added layer of safety. I recommend this sturdy quality product. It's well worth the money. And at a minimum, it saves me from bruising my shins when I am getting out of the shower. I highly recommend this product. Very easy to install.

Great product - easy installation and very secure. Elderly mother uses it for getting into bathtub and also for stability when using toilet independently (as her toilet is next to bathtub)

This was very sturdy and I was impressed with it, but it was a little slippery for me since I’m kind of handicapped right now and I didn’t wanna take a chance of falling at first I couldn’t get it to fit the tub but then when I had somebody put in it, it slipped it didn’t stay still it’s still a great idea but not for me. It’s both my knees and I have to have something really sturdy. I already have something on the wall and I just thought this would help but it didn’t work out for me but thank you anyway.

My husband is partially disabled, has bone on bone in his left hip, and has trouble getting in and out of the tub to get a shower. We had suction cup grab bars on the tub enclosure walls but they were not secure enough to help him in, and they kept falling off the tub enclosure. We don't have the finances to convert to walk in shower and I was searching for a way to help him get in and out of the tub. I was searching for mounted grab bars and came across this device. I was surprised how heavy it was, it is very sturdy. It took all of 2 minutes to secure it to the tub, and my husband was able to get in and out of the shower with ease. This gives both of us peace of mind. I have a fiberglass tub, and read the instructions where it says do not over tighten so you don't crack the tub. I purchased one for my mom as well because she too feels unsafe getting in and out of her tub. I would recommend this to anyone who needs assistance getting in and out of a tub.

This has been the best thing I've bought in years. It's sturdy and attaches easily to the side of my tub. It's made getting in and out for showering so much easier and safer. I highly recommend it.

I love these attachable hand rail. When I moved into a new home there were no rails around the tub. So, I went on Amazon and found these. I’ve ordered 4 or 5. Ì bought one for a good friend who was falling getting out of her tub. She LOVES IT. NEXT, I ordered one for my sister who was falling getting in and out of their tub. She loved it but at first she didn’t believe it would help. It got to be the only way she could get in Or out of the tub. My cousin likes to soak muscle aches and pains. Ì was worried about he falling. As far as I know she’s still using it. Good friend wanted another one so she could hold on to two as she exited the tub. So, I get her another one. I recently ordered another one for the tub in the master bath at my home. I love these attachable handles and mine has never slipped loose from where it’s attached to the tub. If not for this rail adding stability I wouldn’t be able to lower my body into the tub so that I can just soak to get rid of the aches and pains one accumulates as we get older. If you’re getting older and not as sure footed as you once were these rails can make a big difference! But, you should know some of the older cast iron tubs are wider and the rail doesn’t fit very well.

I had these before, and I love them in the bathroom. My family is of all ages, and this is useful regardless of age. It works as an easy assist getting in and out of the tub/shower. It gives me piece of mind and security knowing there is something to hold onto getting in and out of the tub. The price for this purchase was great. I highly recommend this as a safety feature in your bathroom. It fits easily over the tub, grips well, and is well-made. I know this sounds like an ad, but it is true. You will like it more than you realize. Placement is important. I've tried it on the wall end and in the middle, and it works best in the middle of the tub side for my family. It's a great shower curtain holder too. Finally, if the tub is right nest to the commode, it is a good lift assist as well!

Cette barre d'appui est très solide et est d'excellente qualité . Meme si elle est lourde, elle se fixe facilement sur le bain et reste en place. Vraiment très utile pour se tenir afin de rentrer dans le bain.

Delivery was prompt, and this attaches well to both my ancient steel tub and my newer fiberglass tub. Super sturdy and also helps as a grab bar for the toilet, beside the tub.

I like it because I need it I dislike it because it's rusty !! It seems that someone returns it after trial and it was wet !! and was kept in package without drying it !! I'll not return it because I need it
