Llama Llama Hoppity-Hop

I love reading so I am introducing my granddaughter to books. This is just the right length to hold her attention and it’s a fun rhyme. I loved that it ends with Llama Llama giving and getting a hug. I haven’t read this with her yet but I will be hugging her at the end when I do

This little board book is a favorite of my little granddaughter! The pictures are so cute and she loves the ending. The size of this little board book is perfect for the car and diaper bag too!

Among the Llama Llama board books, this was far and away my son's favorite. He started showing an interest in particular books at around nine or ten months, and the physical actions described in this book made it very fun for us to read. The first page, for instance, is "hop". So I would "hop" my son on my lap, much to his squealing delight. Even before he was talking, he quickly learned to recognize the words and pictures of this book, and would clap when we turned to the "clap" page. He often wanted to read it several times in a row, and eventually we wore out our first copy and had to replace it. We wore out a board book. Really. As with the other Dewdney books, the rhymes are cute and catchy, making it easy to catch and keep your little one's attention. The simplicity of the words makes it a good choice for early readers, but if your tot is a bit advanced on the language front, consider one of the hardcover Llama Llama books (longer, more complex words).

I bought Llama Llama Hoppity-Hop and Llama Llama Easter Egg for my granddaughter and she loved them both. The books are sturdy and easy for little fingers to handle.

Very cute book. I’m only giving 4 stars because I expected this to be along the same lines (length of story and words-per-page) as Llama Llama Red Pajama and this is significantly shorter and with very few words per page. However, it’s a very cute book and is perfect for my toddler.

The best Llama Llama book for us. All the kids love this board book, we do all the actions together, they all love Llama hugs! The most picked book when we read. Easy to follow for littlies, nice clear pictures, great for encouraging actions/movements we llama, llama love it!

Baby loves these books. The illustrations are very appealing to babies. The simple rhymes are fun too.

Definitely not recommended for kids 2 year and above. The whole book has total 10 words.
