I received it yesterday and I was really happy with it. The suction power is great and the parts are easy to wash.

The Vax corded hoover has been reliable and straightforward to use. The suction stays consistent because it is corded, so there is no battery drop-off during a long clean. It handles crumbs, dust, and pet hair without struggling, and it works well on both carpets and hard floors. The cord length is enough to move through multiple rooms without constantly switching outlets, which saves time. The dust container is easy to empty and does not make a mess. The attachments are useful for corners, stairs, and sofa cushions. For households with kids, pets, or regular deep cleaning needs, this hoover offers solid performance without needing to recharge. For the price, it delivers good value and dependable cleaning.

This is a nifty little machine, but it’s major design flaw is that there is no way to access debris accumulating within the body and eventually affecting the motor. Directions should clearly state the need to remove the exhaust filter pad in the wheel and run the machine on full for a minute to blow out any debris. If it cakes under the hexagonal plastic inner screen, there is no way to remove it. I’m on my second machine under the warranty. Otherwise, it’s a useful and lightweight tool with good suction.

Bought this August 2024 and it worked brilliantly at first. But over time the suction has got less and less. I’ve taken it apart, cleaned it, changed filters etc but nothing has helped.

I am giving this VAX cleaner 5 stars even though I have had to return it! A good suction on a cleaner like this is very important... and it does have a good suction but there's a but! When I tried it for the first time... the suction was so POWERFUL I could not push the brush across the carpet....it virtually was lifting the carpet up! I only have 2 hard floors the rest are carpets but even using the hard floor setting on the attachment the suction is still too powerful. Fantastic for some people/places/ thin carpets but unfortunately not fit for purpose for me... which is a shame as it's a great price too!

Bought as a secondary vacuum cleaner for a cat- filled home which is lighter to move around than our main one. Very easy to assemble and clean after use, once everything is dismantled. Suction power is very strong although strangely it struggles to pick up hairs that are even slightly embedded in the carpet; this is specifically important for a pet vac. At the same time the suction makes it hard to move around on certain types of carpet. The turbo tool attachment is very good and makes cleaning the stairs less of a chore. The telescopic adjustment is a good idea though not really long enough as I find myself still bending over at its full extension, despite being petite. The cord could also have been a bit longer for the purposes of cleaning the stairs. This was the first of two Vax products I purchased and it seems to be a recurrent theme that disassembling is not as easy. Removing the head can be quite stiff and pulling the hose out of the main unit to put away also requires a fair bit of effort. For some reason, cleaning inside the turbo tool actually requires unscrewing two screws which are quite deeply ensconced into the head. It's a bit clunky in these aspects and emphasis appears to just have been put on the suction power than anything else; surely quite simple mechanisms would have avoided these issues. Definitely not the worst cleaner but could have been more user-friendly.
