This is a good tool maybe not professional quality but perfect for DYI mechanics or household electrical repairs

I've been looking for this wire cutters for many years to replace the old ones. Just to give you perspective, I've had the original one for 16 years and it still strips wire. I'm an electrical tech by trade and these are my everyday tools. These brands are one of the best to me.

These work great and I love the ergonomic design.

These seem awesome so far.. haven't used them in the field yet, but I tried stripping some 18-2 and cat 5 as well. They cut extremely well. I'm knocking a star off because of the spring. It's a bit much and causes the cutters to open too wide in my opinion. It is removable, but they look ridiculous without it. Ideal why can't we have a lock on these?

I do not know how any electrician or hobbyist gets by without these wire strippers. (Hobbyist... that's me.) Be cautioned that they come in two sizes... one for very small gauge wires, another for larger gauge wires. So check the gauges before you buy the wrong pair of strippers.

The product's shape is Berry. Urban opticand easy to work with very, very pleased.

There are plenty of wire strippers for 14 gauge and higher wires out there that are great but there really aren’t that many for stripping smaller gauge wire. I have a set of these from 20 years ago and wanted to get another just in case I lost those as they are my favorite. These are the same and just as good in every way except the handles are yellow instead of the red like my original pair. I prefer the Ideal over the Klein or any other brand I’ve ever seen. These are excellent tools that I expect will last me as long as the originals or more and now I have a spare!

For such a fine machined tool, the jaws open too wide for fine (small gauge) wires. They open wide enough to cut 00 gauge wire with the cutters. Very sharp blades for cutting the smaller gauge wire though. Good I have large hands, if you don't you will struggle to close the handles. No stop, so they sit taking up 3* the space they should for storage.

They are great and very useful but the lack of lock is a pain when stored in pocket or bag.

I am an electrician of over 30 years and these are my Go To Strippers. Have used them my whole career. I occasionally try the NEW HYPE, but always come right back to these. They just work, and work WELL!
