Gardena 3196 Combisystem 5.5-Inch 4-Star Tiller/Cultivator Head

Scott's used to sell this item years ago and was also made in Germany. I paid about $80.00 for mine about 22 years ago and it is by far the best tool in my shed. Unfortunately they stopped making them. Recently I found this item by Gardena (MADE IN GERMANY) and ordered it. It is built even better. The cutter blade is now bolted with welded stops in both directions. You can cultivate going forward and back! The tiller ends are sealed to keep out dirt. Improved design all around. The entire unit is made of high quality heavy gauge steel and powder coated. This cultivator is so easy to use and does such a great job everyone needs one. It works so slick and effortlessly. The best hand tool in my shed by far. Plus the price is very reasonable given what I paid for one 22 years ago that wasn't as well designed. I highly recommend this item.Just don't forget to get the handle too.

This is an attachment to a long, curved handle. This really roots out the weeds after which you chop 'em up with the tines. It even worked in soil that had been under water for a couple of days. Better in soil that's not so heavy but successful in any case. Length and curvature of the handle make for easy use without stooping over. Best garden tool I've purchased in a long time!

What a great tool for your garden. I have a 1/4 acre vegatable garden which requires a ton of weeding. This tool made spot cleaning and cleaning between plants go 10 times faster and easier. Please note to avoid the mistake I made, this is tool only. You must buy the handle separate.

I have used this tool in our Chicago garden, and decided it would be perfect for Hawaii as well. It is excellent for weed control and for cultivation and tilling a small area. Every gardener should have one.

Bigger tool head than I thought it would be. Outstanding construction. Makes short and easy work of the task at hand in your garden!

What is this for? It can't be for breaking up soil, because that's what I hoped it would do and it doesn't. I suppose that's an exaggeration, it doesn't do it very well. There is no 'pulverizing' of the dirt, earth is not being pulled up and 'mixed', this just makes holes in dirt, and only does that if you push down very hard. You would be very tired after working a quite small area. Using this will quickly build muscle in your hands and arms, I may keep using it some for that. Hate to break the perfect score, this is a sturdy tool, it would probably last for years, and may in fact be a great tool in the right hands. But ff you haven't seen or used this before, think about it before you pull the trigger.

I was so dissappointed when I recieved this tool. The quality is tinny and broke the second time I ussed it. I then purchased the Wolf Garten Crumbler and wish I had purchsed this first. Gardena tools do not hold up. I am so glad to find that you carry a nice selection of Wolf Garten Tools. thank you
