Xbox 360 Tomb Raider Limited Edition Wireless Controller

I have owned 5 of these in the past. None of them cost what this 1 did,this Country and Amazon is Insane!Great Controller ,if it is new and this was. the 4 Stars was for the $175.00 price tag for 1 ..

I absolutely love this controller! I have the Microsoft-made keyboard plugged into the headphone jack and it doesn't impede playing at all. I am personally, a huge fan of the Tomb Raider franchise. Lara Croft is my favorite character out of all the characters I've played as.As far as the controller goes, Microsoft went balls-to-the-wall with this one. The texturing is great and I love running my thumb over the bandages and the carved-in scratches. The colors are beautiful, and paired with a good set of black thumbstick caps, this controller is perfect! I had to replace the standard-issue xbox controller a week after I got my xbox, because the RB button on the controller my xbox came with broke and refused to depress or spring back if I got it to depress, which rendered the controller pretty much useless.I was looking for an excuse to buy this controller anyway, so that served perfectly. You should definitely invest in this controller if you're a huge Tomb Raider fan. The transforming D-pad is fun to play with, although I haven't found a game that has a practical use for it. I just like turning it around and around if I'm using Netflix or something. I honestly think the chrome finish of the transforming D-pad gives the remote a more polished look and feel. I really do not like the solid D-pad on the standard-issue Xbox controller. I mean, it's not like the xbox controller has ever been famous for its exceptional D-pad, but the transforming one really steps it up a notch.I bought my boyfriend the purple chrome controller and had it engraved with a message for our one-year anniversary and he says the D-pad is his favorite part of it (aside from the engraving, of course!)10/10, do recommend. While I really wish I could rate this controller 5 stars, I can only give it 3 due to the fact the D-PAD shot halfway across my room. See while the D-PAD feels nice, what they don't show you is that its attached in the middle by a single plastic bit, which in turn is also attached to a spring. So if you are unlucky like me your controllers D-PAD will snap and shoot off halfway across your room in the middle of the night. Mind you I only had this controller for about a month and it did this, I don't press hard on the controller and I also don't rage quit. I'm kinda hoping this is a fluke more then a constant issue with these controllers, I tend to want a new one but am slightly reluctant due to my experience with this one.Other then that the controller is beautiful, the sticks and buttons are all very responsive, the triggers do squeak quite a bit, but that happens to all 360 controllers. To be frank besides the D-PAD this controller is 3 times better compared to the normal 360 controller, which at this point I'm suffering with. It really has that fine tuned feeling to it and it one of the best looking Limited Edition Controllers.

With the release and reveal of the new xbox one just around the corner, its hard to commit to investing into anymore current gen hardware instead of saving for whats to come. But if there was one last product I'd recommend to anyone before the start of the next generation era it would be this controller. Something this creative and raw should have happened a long time ago, but I'm glad it happened period. The laser etched scratches and dirt hand/finger prints make this controller a keeper for fans of Tomb Raider and casual gamers alike. The bandage even feels like a bandage. The color, the look, the feel all compliment each other so well that it makes the standard controllers wish they had something unique to stand out. The price is great (actually a littler cheaper then buying a wireless with plug n play) The only thing that I found negative which isn't that bad is the D-Pad is a little loose and shakes and rattles when the controller is moved or when I'm playing. It works fine though, everything else is top notch microsoft hardware. It doesn't feel cheap whatsoever. This controller does only come with a standard battery holding pack for use (batteries are included) Great idea, amazing looking controller and even better for Tomb Raider fans or collectors of unique hardware. A must have for any gamer. Lets just hope companies continue to be as creative if not more with next gen hardware like this!

Bought this controller to replace a previous one which was stolen.Colour came as a faded orange rather than the proper candy red. Is it authentic? For the price, this quality shouldn't have been in question.

I needed an extra controller for our new Xbox 360 and wanted something easily recognizable in a drawer full of controllers from other systems (original Xbox, PS2, PS3, Wii, Dreamcast, Gamecube - I hold onto my legacy systems and keep them ready to be played). This one fit the bill nicely. Turns out it is indeed easily recognizable because of the red color and Tomb Raider markings and it looks pretty sweet. It's also a really great controller in keeping with the awesome 360 controller design. Perfect size, rugged but responsive, understated but handsome design...I've played a bunch of different game systems with a bunch of different controllers over the years starting with the Fairchild Channel F system in the 70s. This controller is as good as any made so far and perhaps the best. A great choice for 360 users and the red Tomb Raider design really does help it to stand out in a crowd.

Hey it's a wireless Xbox controller with red crap on it ... big deal right? ya...This controller is setup in an HTPC system with an official Xbox Wireless Reciever.Now, my only issue with this controller is the Dead Zones... and the lack of official softwareto configure Dead Zones. If the right thumbstick leans slightly to the right it "sticks" and sometimes inslower paced games ala OutLast, the camera obtusely juts to the right even after i've centered the stickSo build quality is great but the official support is pathetic.

Received it just in time, a day before the expected date. Was well packaged. Controller is brand new, nothing wrong with it. But I was expecting it to be in its original box but that’s ok.

Nothing special, but no complaints either. I am pretty hard on my controllers and it seems to be lasting as I have had it for 3 months now

I love the color and the TR aesthetics - exactly what I wanted. Big fan of the 360 controller for all gaming I do, this does not disappoint. Been using it for a month, build quality is strong.
