Absolutely the best microwavable heating pad for the neck and shoulders. The pad fits perfectly around the neck and lays nicely on top of the shoulders. One thing is I wish it had an enclosure where each piece meets in the front of the neck to secure. It isnt a necessity but I personally would like that. Pad stays in place. Exceptional quality. Comfortable, not to heavy. Same quality as the ones in my physical therapy office I go to. Scent is not strong, just enough for perfect relaxation. Stays warm for 20- 30 minutes. Do not ever overheat any brand of these pads because you think the pad will stay warmer longer. You can burn the pad or yourself. The filling inside these pads can only hold heat for a certain amount of time no matter who you buy them from. I havent tried it cold yet. I'm going to buy one for my lower back. Also to clean just wipe with disenfectant wipes. I'm on my feet all day at work and my neck and shoulders hurt so bad. This product has made an amazing difference by stopping the pain, soreness, muscle cramping and stiffness!! Thank you for an exceptional product!!

This is exactly what I was looking for after my previous one bit the dust. I spend my days typing at a computer and carry stress in my shoulders and neck, I look forward to using this each evening! This wrap is nice and heavy which I believe adds to the comfort/relaxation and it stays put when walking around. I fold it in half and microwave it for about 2.5 minutes and it stays warm for 15-20 minutes, then I repeat the process if necessary. It's not immediately hot to the touch when you pull it out of the microwave, but once it sits on my shoulders for awhile the heat radiates and feels incredible. It also smells divine! While not a heavy scent, it is very light and relaxing. The fleece is soft and it seems to be made very well, no loose stitches that I can see. Ladies, this is also great for those miserable few days of the month when placed on the lower abdomen... :)

If you're a smaller person and your soreness is mild, this may work for you. If you're an active person really trying to help your neck, shoulders, and back out, this probably won't help much. The product is not small, but it won't be quite big enough for a lot of people. I'm a 5'10" male and I definitely wish it reached farther down my back. If you're in your mid 5's or lower, the size is likely fine. The weight of the product feels really good, and it will stay where you want it to stay. This product retains neither heat or cold for very long. You can have it in your freezer over night and the cold will disappear in a handful of minutes. In fact, for both heat and cold, the instructions that come with the product claim it is only good for 1.5 to 2 minutes. Claimed cooling time is 2 hours in the freezer and 60 seconds in the microwave (but you must wait 12 minutes before heating again). In my experience, the cold seems to last somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes (I usually have the product in the freezer over night, which is where I store it) and the heat seems to last around the advertised 2 minutes. One side of the product has a much softer fabric. I assume that side is intended to rest on the skin. That side is never hot and never cold. It's not a big deal because you can use the other side, but it's pointless to have that side covered with that fabric. The company that sells this product seems to be a genuinely nice company. The product is packaged with a nice note. It is also packaged with instructions. The instructions are printed on a thicker paper (like poster board) for durability. I've not contacted their customer service, but based on the rest of my experience I'm going to assume their service is good. As previously stated, if you're a smaller person and your soreness is mild, you may find this product useful. If you're an active person and really trying to help your muscles, this isn't the product for you. I was going to rate the product a 3, but I've rated the product a 4 because it does not advertise itself for athletes or very active people. It is probably helpful for its intended demographic.

This product is fantastic and precisely what I was searching for. There were many other options, but the rave reviews on this one sold me. I'll start with the design....it warms both shoulders and neck all in one swoop, great for relieving stress tension, or in my case a pinched nerve and a shoulder problem. I'm old, I'm falling apart - but I use this several times throughout the day (warm) for excellent relief of my symptoms. The design leaves me able to actually walk around with it draping over the shoulders the way it does, and sitting upright in my office chair for work. Other neck wrap styles I've had in the past left me with having to stay put and propped on the couch, I was very pleased when I received this and tried it to find that I could go about my day and move around. I've even clipped it in the front and have been able to reach & bend for instance doing laundry! I'd also like to make mention that the seller has been exceptionally pleasant, I've reviewed the seller separately but thought I'd mention here as well. Other reviewers make note of the smell of the rice with this product, it was very noticeable at first for me but did not bother me, I've had perfumed ones in the past and didn't like them, I'll take the faint scent of rice any day. This actually is fading a little more with each use anyway, but if you do prefer a scent, there are instructions included in the purchase for aromatherapy use with essential oils. This heating pad for neck and shoulders is great! Good quality, nicely made, comfortable to wear, retains the heat longer than expected and I like its weight. Love the 4-in high collar to warm up my neck. I use it 15-20 min at a time. Happy that it's made in N. America and doesn't contain harmful chemicals. Also feels good to encourage local businesses. The package included a note form the maker, nice ultimate touch showing respect and offering assistance if there was any issue related to the heating pad. Have only used it for heat therapy so far. Good purchase and would buy again.

Love this neck & shoulder heat bag, I broke my neck C2 and although very very lucky I’m not paralysed I am still recovering trying to get my head moving and in constant pain, this wheat bag offers lovely heat to surround the back and sides of my neck offering temporary warmth and a sensation of relief.

I love this... I am using it regularly to help with pain in my neck and shoulder. I have arthritis and a slipped disc and would recommend it to anyone with similar pain. It is quite heavy but for me this is not a problem. I queried the need to keep the heat pad in the freezer in between uses, the seller came back to me saying as it was rice product it was not necessary to freeze it. I love it!
