CamelBak Classic Bike Hydration Pack 85oz

Works very well
Perfect size and holds enough water for my trail rides. Fill all the way with ice and it keeps it cold the whole time. Still have a decent amount of ice still in the bladder even after my ride. I did notice some people saying the bladder leaks and that the cap doesn't fit. I have had this happen to me only twice. Filled it up and turned it upside down to see if the cap leaks. And if it does I simply unscrew the cap and put it back and test it out and it's sealed tight with no leaks.

I filled it up and no matter how loose or how tight I secured the large cap the reservoir leaks like a sieve through the filling hole
I wish I could rate this product ZERO stars. I received this product on the 7-July. On 14-July I decided to use this product for the first time. I filled it up and no matter how loose or how tight I secured the large cap the reservoir leaks like a sieve through the filling hole. One would think that if a $60 hydration pack would actually hold water. No such luck. Dead before it was even used. Very disappointed first experience with such a product. Absolutely ridiculous. Looking through reviews this doesn't seem to be an isolated problem. Absolutely NO excuse for sending out such an expensive product and produce such poor quality. Literally failed within seconds.

great bag for my spartan races
great bag for my spartan races. the pocket holds a few energy gels and my headlamp. and it goes in the washing machine (minus the bladder) and comes out just as green as when it went in!

Pretty happy with my purchase
Rubber comes off the lid all the time and I have to fix it what makes me take long time to close it up. Also regulating clips easily come off and can be lost is you don’t pay attention. But once you closed it and made sure the lid is down all the way this camelbak doesn’t leak and it’s pretty comfortable to wear.

Perfect for summer rides
I had a little trouble at first getting the cover closed properly (and had water down my back). But it was user error. I quickly learned how to get the reservoir closed properly. It holds more water and less gear than my other camelbak, which is exactly what I wanted for cycling in Arizona in the hot weather.

Do not buy! Defective bladders. DoA.
The pack itself is fine. Lightweight and exactly as advertised. The bladder is the issue. It severely leaks water through the fill hole when tightened closed.Trusting the camelbak name, I purchased this without reading reviews. Oops. Sad I can never trust this brand again. There are plenty of other good options for bladders and hiking packs. The issue appears to be the hard plastic used for the screw on lid. Not sure if it's an r&d issue or the manufacturer.Stay far away from this.

Reservoir cap threading is a big problem
After my 3rd use of a brand new unit I've experienced 2 big issues both related to the reservoir cap. From my first use the cap's threading was a problem and after my third run on the trail (opening the reservoir mid-run to pour water into my dog's bowl) I couldn't re-thread the cap. The second issue is the cap is loosely attached to a plastic ring - so loosely that the cap, when disconnected, has fallen off - that's a real problem on the trails as precious water must be used to clean the cap after it drops to the ground.I cannot use this product and it's NEW! This product is poorly designed - I'm really disappointed in CamelBak.I have a smaller CamelBak (~36 oz) unit with a 90degree reservoir cap (much better design) and it appears to be much better quality and is working fine after heavy use.

Perfect
No comparison with the cheaper brands. Works perfectly, if only they can do a vacuum-sealed version.

Excellent. Quality is worth the price.
Costs more than other less well known brands but this is definitely worth the money.Buckle on the front across your chest is a must if you are running long distances.Just did a half marathon to test it - Large opening to fill up, and allows it to be easily cleaned.Mouth piece is flexible, and gives a good amount of liquid.Whole thing is sturdy and well put together and it's handy having the other pouch to put other bits in - Top marks.

Great product
Love the idea. The bag needed a good rinse as it made the water initially taste funny. Also the lid is difficult to close properly - or maybe it's just me (had to send the first one back - very quick delivery on replacement). Once prepped the camelbak was great! Comfy on my back & hydrated me through completing a bike ride challenge!!

Great and useful bit of kit.....
Always used camelbak products but have never had an integrated backpack and bladder. This is a great product and is well made. I love the way it sits on my back and the way the bladder is integrated.

High quality
Bought this camel Bak as cover over 16 + miles running in the day so just make the journey more doable. Very well made, much easier than running with a bottle. Very comfortable, easy bite tube to get instant access to fluids. Definitely recommend to any fitness freak 😜
